In today's episode, I'm going to share with you the ultimate lead-magnet formula. If we're looking at a client attraction system, right, the lead magnet, we call it the money content. Some people, just in case you're not sure what a lead magnet is, I'm assuming you are. You do because you're here, but if not, I don’t want to assume, right?
Sometimes people give away. It's a free giveaway. Some people give away PDFs. Some people give away on webinars. Some people give away checklists. Some people give away challenges. Whatever you give away in exchange that's valuable, in exchange for somebody's name and email or name, email, and phone number, right?
What we like is these content videos. They work amazingly well, because what we’ve found is that the best way to show people you can help them is by actually helping them and the best way to do that is via a video. You can be on camera. You can be not on camera. Either way, it's totally fine, right?
In that lead magnet, what do you say? We have this thing called the “what, why, how, what's next” formula. Once people enter their name and email, so, say, they go to your page, and then say, Enter your name and email to get XYZ, something of value. Hopefully, it doesn't say it’s to get my newsletter and nothing like that, but a big promise that they're going to get for free. [02:10.0]
Now, in this video and you’ve gotten into the “what, why, how, what's next” formula, you're basically saying, Here's what I'm about to teach you.
Hey, it’s Marquel Russell here. Congratulations for getting access to this video. In this video, I'm going to share with you the ultimate lead-magnet formula, so you can easily convert more of your leads into clients.
Boom, so that's the “what”. Somebody is reminding them what I’ve told them they're going to get on the landing page, right?
Now, number two, “why”. Here's why I'm so passionate about teaching you this. This is where you give them some backstory of what led you to this point. Typically, we use this thing called the up-down-up formula.
Yes, I'm teaching you about this, this, this and the third, and I'm this, this and the third now. However, it was not always this way. I give them some backstory of how I’ve gotten to this point and I tell him about that turning point that led me to here and now this has led here, boom, boom, boom.
Thirdly—what, why, how—now you get into the “how”. This is where you teach them whatever you're going to teach them, right? I'm teaching you now the “why, how, what's next” formula, right? That's the “how”, whatever your steps, whatever your process is. [03:04.8]
And guess what the “what's next” is? The “what’s next” is, what do you want me to do? Because you’ve got different types of learners.
You’ve got “what” learners: What is he about to teach me?
You’ve got “why” learners: Why is he even teaching me this?
You’ve got the “how” learners: Now he’s telling me how to do it.
Then you’ve got people who are always thinking, Okay, what's next?
You’ve got to cater to all of them. The “what's next” is like, Here's what I want you to do now. If you want me personally to help you do XYZ, click the button below to schedule a call.
