In today's episode, I'm going to share with you the secret, so to speak, to getting featured on popular podcast shows, events, summits, and the list goes on. We get so many requests for interviews and summits, and events and things of that nature, where we’ve actually had to vet them and turn a lot of them down because I can only do so many, right? But what's the secret to actually doing that? [00:54.5]
Now this, this may sound crazy, but the thing that you have to do is a couple of things. You have to become valuable in your particular market. What do I mean by that? You have to be known for something. This is why I tell people all the time to get specific on a specific problem that you solve and what is your mountain that you stand on the top of. What's the thing you're the best in the world at? I think it's client attraction, so guess what? When people invite me to come speak on the podcast or whatever the case may be, they want to know how you do it.
A lot of people saw me recently on my guy, Ash Cash’s show, I asked to show, Inside the Vault. You go on and check out my guy @iamashcash [@ I am Ash Cash] on Instagram. He’s got a really dope show called Inside the Vault on the Earn Your Leisure Network. I was recently on there. A lot of people we like, Oh, my God, how did you get on there? How did you get on there? And also check out my guy, David Shands. He has a super popular podcast as well called Real Social Proof. The list goes on. I speak at a lot of events and so forth, and people don't want to know, How do you do it?
How I do it—they know me for something, right? I'm always speaking about something. I’m always adding massive value, helping people get real results, and people want you to come share your story. Some people think people want to bring you on, just talk about your sob story and things of that nature. [02:01.5]
Nobody cares really about your story until you actually win, and then when you win, people want to bring you on their platforms to let you share, let you share their story, let you share your strategies and impart wisdom to their audience as well, because they also get some type of value from that connection.
So, if you want to be featured on more podcasts, more shows, get invited to more events, speak on more stages, stop focusing on, How do you get on more podcasts? How do you get on more shows? How do you get more events? And reaching out to people, asking them can you get on them. Become somebody of value. Put out content.
The easiest way to do this is to put out content. Go the next 90 days, if you aren't already doing it, and create a piece of content every day for your audience. To add on top of that, start doing some ads because ads are going to accelerate your awareness in the marketplace.

But so many people focus on trying to get the exposure and get on these platforms and all that without actually building something, and when you focus on building something, you focus on adding massive value, you focus on specializing and mastering a specific skill, you won't have to worry about getting on stages—because when somebody wants somebody to speak on a specific thing and that thing resonates with you, guess who they're going to reach out to? You.
If you're out there doing the work, if you're out there helping people, if you’re out there adding massive value to the marketplace, they can't help but come see you. You want to become so good. I forgot who said this thing. I think it was Steve Martin. He said you’ve got to become so good at something that they can't ignore you. That is the secret, my friend. [04:03.8]
