Marquel: Hey, what's up, my friend? Marquel Russell, and welcome to this brand new episode of the School of Client Attraction. In today's episode, I'm going to walk you through nine free and low-cost strategies that you can implement immediately in your business to convert more leads into clients. All right, so let's get into it.
A lot of people, when they generate a lead, if somebody doesn't buy right then, they stop. They don't do any follow-up. They don't do anything to actually help convert those leads into sales. People have got email lists and they’ve got audiences and all this different type of stuff, but no real strategies that actually convert more leads into clients. [01:02.4]
I'm going to show you. I’ve got it on my phone right here as well because I didn't want to leave any of them out. No. 1, the first strategy is creating daily content. Now, when you create this daily content, you actually want to make sure you have a call to action. At the end of the call to action, so you want to teach somebody what you're teaching them, and at the end, you want them to go, do something.
For example, in this particular context, if you're watching me, which you are, or listening to me, we actually have something called the Seven-Figure Client Business-Building Bundle, right? It's actually our Paid Ad Playbook that shows you how to get 50 to 100 leads per day, enroll more clients. I will show you how to enroll a client for $3,000, $10,000 or more, in one call. Also, I will show you how to make $100,000 a month or $100,000 per year with your knowledge and expertise, and a lot of other cool stuff, right? But that's also an example of a call to action, okay?
So, you want to create content—this could be a podcast. This could be just videos, whatever the case may be—and when I'm talking about content, I'm specifically talking about video-type content, or even audio, if you do podcasts or something like that. That's No. 1. [02:02.0]
Now, some people say what about doing Clubhouse and stuff like that? That's a form of content. However, it doesn't stay online. But the cool thing about creating podcasts episodes and even videos is it stays online forever, so you have these little pieces of digital real estate all over the internet and it's accumulating value as you put out more of it. Okay, so that's No. 1.
No. 2: sending out emails daily. Again, you want to have a call to action. You want to send out personality-driven, value-Based emails to your list every single day. Yes, every single day, and you want to have a call to action. It doesn't have to always be selling something. It can be inviting them to schedule a call with you. It can be telling them to go check out a video just released to your new episode or check you out here, or DM you or join your group, whatever, but you want to have some type of call to action in every single one of those emails.
No. 3: post to social media three to five times per day. I know you may be thinking, Wow, three to five times a day. Yes, you want to be posting to your social media three to five times a day. How is that a strategy to convert more leads into the sales? Because now you're staying top of mind. [03:03.4]
They saw your email. They saw some of your posts. Again, when you post on social media, these things stay there, so now these become little pieces of real estate that continue to add value as well. Now people see your ad. They go to your social media profiles. They're getting to know you, getting to like you and getting to trust you by consuming your social media content.
No. 4: doing live streams. Your live stream, they can be Facebook live and this can be Instagram live. This can be Clubhouse, right? Right now, what we do with our live streams, we’ve just started implementing this, we use this tool called StreamYard.
With this particular tool, we can go live on Facebook, we can go live on YouTube, and we go live on Periscope/Twitter, all at the same time. You can also go live on LinkedIn, but you’ve got to apply to go live on LinkedIn, so we're waiting for our approval or whatever. We'll do that via that particular tool and I have my phone sitting over to the side, and we're going live on Instagram at the same time, so we're live at four different places and we do that once a week inside of our Facebook group. Just make sure you answer those three questions. So, that's No. 4, doing live streams.
No. 5: sending stuff in the mail. I know this may seem old school for a lot of people, but you'll be surprised, the power of sending stuff in the mail. One of the things we do with our clients, we send out gifts. Every year, we send out birthday-- We send out all kinds of stuff in the mail. But how can you implement sending stuff in the mail for people who aren't clients yet? I would think about strategies and things that you can do, and I'm sure you probably get stuff in the mail. It's really powerful. I even collect direct mail. The stuff, when you're getting direct mail, don't just throw that stuff in the trash, right? This is a valuable stuff here and we even collect it and use it on in some cases. [04:55.5]
No. 6 is text marketing, very, very powerful stuff. There are multiple different tools you can use for text marketing. I'm not going to recommend a specific tool. But that's another way capturing emails and sending out value to cultivate and nurture individuals who become part of your text community. Treat them as such, like they're part of a community and not just like they're somebody who you look into to extract more cash from. No. 7: the seventh way to convert more leads into clients is doing live events. These can be live events in-person or these can be virtual events. These can be paid events or they can be free events. Whatever it is, it's just another touch, another way for you to add more value and another way for you to give them an opportunity to continue to work with you.
No. 8: picking up the phone. You'd be surprised how powerful picking up the phone is, literally picking up the phone and calling people, you or somebody on your team. When we do it, people are blown away. They're like, I can't believe you guys actually called me. Even people who buy tickets to our events and things of that nature, we literally pick up the phone, make sure they’ve got all their information, make sure they're good to go, see if they’ve got any questions. You'd be surprised how powerful that is. [06:14.8]
Lastly, No. 9 is Facebook groups done the right way. Most people just do Facebook groups and they're just spamming the group every day, no value. They don't post in there unless they're selling something. You want to have a Facebook group done the right way, where you're adding value and all that good stuff if people want to buy from you.
