Marquel: Hey, what's up, my friend? Marquel Russell here, the king of client attraction. Welcome to this brand new episode of the School of Client Attraction.

Now, right now, Clubhouse is blowing up, right? The cool thing is I think one of the most powerful things that they have done is they're using one of the most powerful pieces of marketing psychology ever, and it's exclusivity. You can only get on Clubhouse at this point if you want an Apple device or an iPhone device, or whatever the case may be, and you only can get in there typically from an invitation. That is genius. Now everybody wants to get into it. Now, when they finally open up the floodgates, everybody's going to be jumping on it because now they can actually get on it. [01:02.8]

Now, here's what I'm finding. It’s that a lot of people want to get on Clubhouse and they're just on it. A lot of times, people don't understand that a lot of people online, they think they're marketers, but they're actually the market.

A lot of times, a lot of people are going on Clubhouse and they're just sitting there consuming content, so it's just another way for them to consume content, but they're not monetizing the platform. Meanwhile, I know people who are making a fortune on there because they [understand]. They're actually marketers and they have a sound strategy when it comes to getting clients.

Just like any other platform, when you're going to get on there, you want to be leveraging it to be a thought leader, which it’s set up for, be creating valuable content and then giving people a call to action to do a specific thing. I'm not saying this as somebody who didn’t generate a ton of money on Clubhouse. I’ve actually only been on it. Once I’d got an invitation, I'd been on it, but I’ve just been working on implementing and laying it out into our overall strategy. [02:00.0]

But I'm on there. Of course, connect with me on there, but I'm about to lay out our strategy. But when I go into it, it's going to be a very specific strategic weight on how I go about doing it and I’ve got to say, I'm going in with a strategy in mind and not going in there just to consume content.

I see a lot of people, they're just excited about being able to be in the rooms with different celebrities and hearing different celebrities, all this different type of stuff, and that's cool if that's your thing, but if you're going to do it, you don't want it to just be another thing that you use to just consume more content that you're not going to go do anything with. If you're going to consume content, consume it strategically, but also have a sound strategy when you go on there, it's actually going to take people from this platform—because, of course, we never know what these platforms are going to do—but the goal is to take people from the platform, bring them into your ecosystem and actually take them throughout your process to actually become clients.

Just like you would do it on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, whatever, you want to be using the same strategies, create valuable content, position yourself as a thought leader, give people a call to action to come get more, get them onto another platform like Caroline. She's in the mastermind with me. She basically says, after the club is the after party. [03:06.0]

She basically says, after they come on Clubhouse, then you bring them to the after party, bring them off the platform to engage with you, whether that's on a call or a Zoom, whatever the case may be, and that's when you monetize.

But don’t get hypnotized because this is exciting, because the market and everything is amazing and it's going crazy over it in it right now. Make sure you go into this thing with a solid strategy and keep in mind the direct-response principles when it comes to giving people a call to action to come get more of the value that you’re providing on the platform. Okay?
That's it for this episode. Have a phenomenal day because you absolutely deserve it. Talk to you soon.
