(00:34): Hey there, gang. Welcome to find your fear so glad that you are here with me as we continue this series beyond great in this is we are diving into a bunch of things that the Lord has placed on my heart. For me to share with you and hope to propel you into what God is asking you to do, calling you to do and who it is that he wants you to become to unleash all that untapped potential that you've been honing back from the world and help you peel back some layers as you reflect and take on your own faith journey. I can can't wait. It's gonna be so super good. But before we go any further today, I have to say that I love that you are here listening in and spending time with us. So honored that I get to be a part of your day.
(01:12): You guys are just absolutely amazing. And I have to thank you for all your love and support. I appreciate your feedback, your reviews, and I love that you share this podcast and this set free message with your friends and family. If you could keep on doing that, that would be pretty incredible because you are helping this movement as it helps reach more women and it impacts more lives. And that is certainly what life is all about. So thank you so much. Okay. So let's dive in now. Here's the thing during times when we really don't understand, you know, what, if we're really not supposed to understand all of it, what is the feelings that you feel are completely normal? However, they're not meant to be your guide. We spend so much time and energy on trying to make sense of things that simply don't make sense.
(02:00): And then we argue about who we think got it, right? And the thing of it is we're probably all wrong as we act completely ridiculous. I know in Proverbs three verse five and six trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding, seek his will and all you do. And he will show you which path to take, have to believe that the Bible is being serious. When it tells you not to depend on your ability to understand everything, your quest, to make sense of it, feel okay about it. And somehow have the slightest bit of control over it will. No doubt take you off. Course. Trust is not required. If you already understand it, I have to trust that the lights will turn on. When I flip that switch, because honestly I have no clue how electricity really works.
(02:53): If I understood it all, I wouldn't flip the switch in faith. I would flip it in knowledge, God calls us to trust him. Not understand him. He calls us to follow him in the way we should go. Not lead him in the way we think it should go. Does that make sense? Am I making sense here? Maybe you're smack D in the middle of things that don't make sense right now. Things you think God should have changed by now. Things can't understand or see God's hand in things you specifically prayed wouldn't happen, but they are times like this cause us to question and it's natural. It's okay. We can't understand the mysteries of God and we're not supposed to. That's why they're called mysteries, but you know what? Ruins a good mystery movie, trying to figure it all in advance. My husband, Rob tries to do that.
(03:41): It drives me nuts. I have trouble watching any type of mystery or suspense movie with him because he keeps talking through it all to figure it all out. And it drives me insane. That's what ruins the whole story. You try to see where it's all going and plotted out in your head while missing the unfolding of the story. Yes, the unfolding there's that word? God keeps giving us. Maybe you're ruining the good story. God is writing here because you're trying to see where it's going instead of just trusting the unfolding as it happens. But again, scripture says, trust the Lord and stop, depending on your own understanding, you're not going to figure this out here. You think you know the plot, but let me tell you, there will be a plot twist that you will not see coming. It's the twist where God takes all the enemy meant for evil.
(04:36): And he turns it for good, our hearts, our Des, and you know why? Because our heart is really close to our stomach. And just like our stomach can get tricked into choosing what we want now over what we want. Most you can fall for the counterfeit fast and easy offerings of the enemy over the genuine most truest and often slower offerings of God. Good things take some time and we have to be willing to wait for them. And this requires trust trust while we don't see it. But we have to know that it's coming trust while it hurts. But God is going to redeem that hurt trust while it, these ashes will be traded for beauty. If you haven't picked up on it yet our emotions fluctuate. One minute. We'll feel confident and the next will feel defeated. If we lead by our emotions, we will be running circles, never getting anywhere.
(05:38): You know what? Ruins a good, healthy lifestyle faster than anything. Ask how you feel about following through with it today. You know what ruins a good budget, asking how you feel about not buying what you want right now. You know what ruins a good routine, asking what you feel like doing right now, your feelings, my feelings is gonna get us into trouble. Every single time our feelings are hot and cold. All in one minute, we're in, we're out, we're on. Then we're off. We're certain. And then we're cautious. And really what it makes us is crazy. Don't be led by your emotions. They're not a trustworthy guy. Your understanding does not see the big picture. It only sees the past and a tiny limited view of the now you don't understand what's going on in places you cannot see, and there's a whole lot more happening in the unseen than the scene.
(06:33): So how could our understanding ever be trusted here? How could UN understanding all ever be a good plan as we wait to make perfect sense of everything. Life passes us by and we miss the opportunities to live while we can. Today, we have an opportunity to live and this opportunity likely comes with less than perfect conditions. This specific opportunity is likely layered with confusing, frustrating, conflicting, loose ends. That drives us bonkers. And let me remind you again. That's why the Bible says don't depend on understanding all of this trust God and get to living. And as you seek God, he's not gonna reveal all the details to you, but he will guide you to the next step on the right path. That's a, it, you won't see exactly where this path is leading. You won't know for sure how long it will take to get there.
(07:25): You will simply have to trust the way we'll be shown one step at a time. As you trust God with your whole heart, as he leads you through things that don't make sense, your smack dab in the middle of a mystery. Here you are, where a few things make sense. And there are a lot of unanswered questions. Don't get stuck in this. Don't sit here until you understand it. Trust God leads you through it. And one day when you look back, odds, are we maybe understand a bit of the mystery and maybe not. Can you make peace with not understanding it? Can you make peace with not knowing? Can you trust God fully knowing that his ways are truly higher and bigger and better than your own. Can you see the beauty of the story he is writing? Even while you don't understand it, trying to figure it out.
(08:15): It ruins it just let it unfold and trust the author. We don't understand, but we trust him. And that trust is greater than our feelings, our emotions, and our understanding. All combined, all we have to offer today is our obedient. Next step in faith. And God says, that's all I've ever asked for. So let's move forward together. Gosh, it's so good.
