(00:34): Hey there, gang. Welcome to find your fear so glad you are here with me. As we kick off a brand new series called beyond. Great. And in this series, we are diving into a bunch of things that the Lord has placed on my heart. For me to share with you in hopes to propel you into what God is asking you to do, calling you, to do, and to become, to unleash all that untapped potential. You have been holding back from the world and to help you peel back some layers as you reflect and take on your own faith journey. And I can't wait, it's gonna be so good. But before we go any further today, I have to say that I love that you are here listening in and spending time with us. So honored that I get be a part of your day that you guys are just so amazing.

(01:14): And, and I have to thank you for all your love and support as always. I appreciate your feedback, your reviews, and I love that you share this podcast and the set free message with your friends and family. So if you could keep on doing that, that would be pretty epic because you are helping this movement as it helps reach more women and it impacts more lives and it is certainly what life is all about. So I cannot thank you enough. Okay. So let's dive in and you know, you guys know that I always look at, or I should say that I always try to look at a new day as an opportunity, and I try to be intentional with that mindset as a gift and you know, and that opportunity to do things that we've never done before, or as an opportunity to go where we've never gone before an opportunity to become who we've never been before.

(01:59): And with this opportunity with a new day comes with two emotions, and that is excitement. And that is also fear. And it's exciting to imagine things actually being possible for you this time, right? It's exciting to imagine breakthroughs and all these successes. It's exciting to imagine your best self finally showing up to live your days. But it's also scary at the same time, as you know, think about leaving behind old ways or old routines, old habits, old thoughts, you know, leaving them behind, leaving behind the comfort. It's scary stepping into the unknown. I totally get it. And I know we just finish up the past two episodes focusing on health and fitness. So I think about those who are daring to show up at the gym when you have not a clue how to work a single machine, or when you're surrounded by fitness buffs in the most beautiful workout gear, right?

(02:55): Well, you know, you may be showing up in some old sweats and a sloppy old t-shirt. I get it. It can be scary in the gym, or if you're boldly deciding the ways you've been coping with the stress are not healthy, and you're trying to make a change. That's scary. Or if you're pouring out the wine and vowing not to cope with it any longer, it's scary. Or maybe if you're pitching out the cigarettes or you're trying to quit cold Turkey, and you're deciding that lung cancer isn't worth it, but it causes fear, right? Fear. If you have the willpower to stick with it this time, fear, if you can't fight through the withdrawals, take any addiction for that matter. Okay? Fill in your blank. Maybe it's a decision to stop eating your feelings and hiding in shame with a bag of chips, pat, a pan of brownies, a can of, I know that's what I do.

(03:40): Donuts. A bag of Snickers, a bowl of ice cream, maybe it's the third helping of cheesy lasagna or whatever your go-to is. That's scary changing. What you've always done is naturally met with fear, a decision to take your life back and shut your phone down. It may create anxiety. How is it that you're gonna resist the urge to do what you've always done? How will you break this habit? How will you change? Guys? Change creates fear, but understand what you're doing here, that change, that change that you are seeking. Whether you know, I've mentioned it or not is an act of tearing down walls. And I know we've all, all built walls, brick by brick walls that keep us confined in this little life. When we were created for so much more today, or this month, this year, it can, it can be when you decide to start some demo work and begin to tear down some walls.

(04:36): Do you guys ever watch chip and Jojo? I know I was on a kick there or for a while where I would watch them, you know, go in and start tearing down walls in the home that they were remodeling, right? Chip goes nuts. It's like demolition day. He can't wait for that day to begin. Imagine if you tear down walls with that same emphasis that you know that you've held back so long, imagine tearing down those walls. Imagine moving beyond the things which are no longer serving you and you step into this new, exciting territory. Imagine tearing down those walls in your life, the walls that you've built to keep you safe or in your familiar old ways of living. But they have also kept you stuck in a pattern of settling and sinking, sinking, deeper into sadness. As you gain another pound in the week, sinking deeper into debt.

(05:29): As you, once again, ignore the bill, sinking deeper into the mess. As the junk drawer becomes a junk room, sinking deeper into a doomed marriage. As your only emotion is anger. And your only volume is yelling. This is their reality of your comfort zone, your walls that you have created. It's not happy in here. It's not hopeful in here. What's happening inside. These walls is your very life is being sucked from you. And it's time I gotta, I gotta, I am fired up about this. It's time to take it back, take back your life. And I'm talking about the one that you were created for take it back from the beginning. There has always been a bigger, more purposeful life available to you. One where you were designed and equipped for, and I'm telling you that life is still available to you. It's not too late.

(06:20): You're not too far gone. You're not too old. You're not hopeless. God is made away for you. And the way is only through tearing down those walls. I saw a meme on Instagram the other day, and I forget who posted it, but it said the walls of your comfort zone are loving, only decorated with your lifelong collection of favorite excuses. Talk about hitting home. That one for me was a zinger for sure. Our favorite excuses are like the wallpaper on the walls of our comfort zone. I remember our old house I grew up in, they had these bright orange flowers all over the walls, floral wallpaper. It covered the eating area. It covered the kitchen, the hallway. And I guess people thought it looked good at the time. I didn't know any different, right? But that's the thing about excuses. We think they look really, really good at the time.

(07:16): They not only look good, but they feel good excuses. Like I can wait until later. I don't really feel good today. So it's okay if I don't do what I said I was gonna do, or it's too early and my body needs more rest today, or one little bite won't hurt one little drink, one little smoke. Everyone else is doing it too. Right? Each excuse justify our continued existence in a life smaller than we were created for each excuse holds us back from stepping out into the more that is available to us and each excuse decorates the walls of the comfort zone, which threatens our future and our success for this year. I've seen that wallpaper is kind of making a comeback, right? In some a, in some magazines, as a matter of fact, the chip and Jojo magazine that Magnolia won, but I'm not sure if I would ever put up flora wallpaper.

(08:05): Again. I remember helping my aunt tear down wallpaper in her bed and breakfast years ago, I remember spending hours, weekends day, steaming the walls, scraping hours and hours of scraping through the was layers and layers of wallpaper. Something that I know that I would never wanna do again. And the same is true with our crazy excuses. If you've ever torn down those before, if you've ever overcome them, if you've ever broke through and tasted success, you're never wanting to live with those excuses. Again, even your best old excuses. Gosh, I don't know repulsive to you once you've torn them down. So let's not allow ourselves to wander back into a comfort zone with walls decorated with orange flowers in those excuses again, right? We serve a God who tears down walls. We serve a God who can demolish old strongholds. We serve a God who can make way, remember the story in the Bible about the walls of Jericho.

(09:02): I absolutely love that story. I mean, you can read it in the story of Joshua chapters, five and six, but Jericho was a city protected by walls. The walls protecting the city were about 15 feet, five feet thick walls that could not be scaled walls that could not be torn down. The Israelites face the impossible of trying to battle Jericho in their walls. But those walls came down. And do you remember how in the most simple way they marched around the wall? Now I know that sounds crazy, right? But they did that once every day for six days and the Israeli lights marched around the wall of Jericho. And on the first day, nothing happened the second day. Pretty much the same and again, on the third and the fourth and the fifth and the sixth, nothing, nothing was happening and, and they still showed up and marched.

(09:52): And on that seventh day, the Israel lights marched around the wall of Jericho seven times. And guess what happened? The walls fell Josh six 16 says the seventh time around when the priest sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army shout for the Lord has given you the city and the walls collapsed. This is exactly how our God works. He says, do the simple, do the ordinary right things and keep doing them. Keep doing them. Even when you don't feel like it, keep doing it. When you don't see progress, don't give up when the change doesn't come overnight, keep doing it because what's happening in the process is that the walls are being torn down. It's just that you don't see it yet. We have to keep showing up. The Lord is working. He has given us so much ladies, a purpose for this life.

(10:41): He has given you this day as an opportunity to overcome and move forward. God is calling you out of the walls of your comfort zone. The walls will come down and the way to tear down those walls, isn't really this grand spectacular show or plan. The it's nothing too crazy. It's just doing the right thing again and again and again, over and over whether you feel like it or not. If you will be faithful, if you will keep going, if you will keep showing up the walls, which have held you back, they will come tumbling down and you will step into a life beyond your donation free of the excuses that have decorated your walls, your entire life. To me, that's exciting. Your potential is exciting. Your potential for freedom and growth and change is exciting. And I get it. It's also scary, but don't let your fear stop you again this year.

(11:37): God have, has given you the wisdom to know what's right. And he's given you the strength to March today. So do what you know to do today. Whether you see change or not, whether you feel like it or not. And I wanna end with this. I wanna share a passage from my book set free. When we choose to tear down those walls, it's like the prison cell we've built around ourselves. Brick by brick. Over our lifetime gets torn down all the strongholds. The fear begin to come crumbling down. We get to choose that transformation light begins to pour in. We can breathe again. We are free it's demo day, eighties, time to tear down those walls and step into the life that you were created for.
