When I was an electrician I dreaded Mondays.
It meant the weekend was over and I had to go back to the 7:00-3:30 grind.
I felt like I had no options in life.
There was no way out.
I was trapped.
If I wanted moolah I had to get my buttocks to work.
If I didn't hit the street I didn't get paid.
Like a ho', I only made dough when I worked, I got paid by the hour, and I sold myself to the highest bidder.
Those were dark days in my life.
I've put them behind me, but I'll never forget them.
