You want to know what keeps most podcasters dead broke without a pot to piss in?

It's their fear of four letter words.

One in particular.

No, not that one. Get your mind out of the gutter.

It's the word > SELL

I hear so many people talk about how podcasting is a great way to build trust with your listeners. They tell you podcasting is a super way to grow your audience. They say podcasting is the perfect way to share your ideas.

But they never talk about selling from your show.

Why do you suppose that is?

Its because they're afraid to sell.

Anytime you say the word, “Sell” it conjures up images of greasy used car salesman trying to get you to buy a car you don't want.

And that's exactly why people are afraid of selling – they think it's a game where one person wins and the other one loses. Fact is, to be good at sales you need to be able to bridge the gap between someone's problems and your solutions. More on that in another email.

Back to the point.

Today we're gonna tackle second BIG fat lie you're hearing about podcasting

The Selling Lie

A lot of people don't think they should be selling form their show. They think it's a bad move that will scare their listeners away. And I say that's complete B.S. Why? Because they're willing to sell sponsorship slots on their show to fund it. What do you suppose sponsors are doing? Selling to your listeners.

The problem is most people don't know how to sell correctly, so they'd rather let someone else do the selling so they don't have to.

If you're doing the right thing, selling to your audience is your duty – so you can put your superior solution into their hands while saving them from you competitors inferior products and services.

The key is to get folks to take one small step at a time to reduce the friction to the sale.

It's too much to explain here, but inside the next issue of the Podcast Mogul Newsletter http://PodcastMogul.com I'm going to show you how to turn listeners into leads and sales using my podcast product launch sequence that combines podcasting with boring ol' email to put cold hard cash into your hot little hand.

In this super sized issue you'll even get 11 swipe emails with analysis of why they worked so you can model them for your own podcast product launch.

It's all inside the next issue, subscribe now so you don't miss out at http://PodcastMogul.com

And keep an eye out for my next story where I'll show you why a podcast alone isn't a business.
