I was feeling super generous a few months ago when I asked,
I like to collect problems and every once in a while write an email about them.
That saves you the big bucks to hire me for consulting and it gives me something to yammer about in these daily notes to you.
Ain't I nice?
Anyways, one persons wrote and said, “My biggest marketing challenge is understanding my audience, the culture, and language.”
And you know what, this IS a biggie.
Why? Because if you don't know your market then you won't know what to say to them.
If you don't know what to say to them they won't pay attention to you.
If they don't pay attention to you then you won't be in business very long because you won't be able to sell them your solution.
Interestingly enough, I see podcast fall flat all the time because the host thinks they know their audience, or even worse, they don't bother to research their audience before they start recording shows.
That's why the first thing I do with my clients is take them through my “Audience Audit” before we do anything else.
It's a six page exercise where we dive deep into their audience, their wants, their needs, and a bunch of other details to make sure the podcast will connect with them.
Thing is, this exercise isn't just for the host.
It's also to gives me a better understanding of your audience so I can help you reach the right ears with your show.
Once we're done with the “Audience Audit” we can come up with the packaging for the show including your voice overs, your ads, your music, your album art, and even the name of your show to make sure it catches the attention of the right people.
If you don't do this first you may as well not do a podcast at all.
Anyways, I've got a spot opening up for my Done for You podcasting service soon.
But you should know it's expensive, and I'm picky about who I work with.
If you're tight on dough, if you can't take direction, or if you think you know it all then it's probably not for you.
On the other hand,
If you want a show that will connect with your ideal listeners and you want a proven plan to launch it, then it might be for you.
Get on my waiting list to be the first to know when a spot opens up at https://thepodcastfactory.com/difm
Talk to you tomorrow,
