Growing your jewelry business starts with growing brand awareness.

If people don’t know who you are, they can’t fall in love with your jewelry!

The best way to get noticed by your dream client is by getting your jewelry featured by the press – especially during the holidays!

Before you think, “easier said than done!” I have an amazing guest on the show ready to show you that it’s actually not as hard as you may think!

Sabina Hitchen is back on the show giving us a great reminder to get started on holiday press pitches now!

Sabina teaches entrepreneurs how to get publicity through strategy, support, and motivation. She’s the founder of the PR agency, SabinaKnows, and she’s a long time supporter and friend of Flourish & Thrive!

Giving yourself enough time to prepare your offer and perfect your pitch gives you a leg up on the competition.

You have a lot more power than you think you do when you start forming relationships with the press now!

You don’t have to feel ready before you can get started, but you do need to be prepared.

Let’s see what Sabina has to say about holiday press features!

Prep for Your Pitches
Before you start pitching, you need to prepare your offer so it’s tempting to the press! Throwing something together at the last minute is not the best way to make a good impression.

The competition is fierce, but when you know how to prepare, execute, and follow up the right way, you can stand out far and above the rest. Think about what you have to offer and why it would be appealing to editors at specific media outlets.

PR is About Relationships
Don’t wait until it’s too late! You have a better chance of getting your jewelry featured by the press if the press knows who you are! You can’t show up around July as an unknown name and expect instant attention and success.

Bonus points for doing this all year long. The better relationships you have with people in the press, the easier it’s going to be to get featured. Plus, people move around all the time! So establishing a relationship with a few people might land you in several big time publications when they switch jobs or get promoted!

Make it Easy to Say Yes
Take some time to write your holiday gift guide goal lists! Write down the places you want to see your jewelry featured in. If you have an idea of who to ask now, it will be easier to find the opportunities later!

Make beautiful digital PDF visuals of what you want to offer for their holiday gift guide. Get specific about what you have to offer and why it’s great! Help them visualize that, don’t make them dig on your website to find pictures of the pieces you’re talking about. Do the work for them because those are the most competitive stories.

If you love Sabina and want more holiday press tips, we’re hosting an epic master class with her this week!
