The Purpose of Your Story
So over here at Flourish and Thrive we like to call your brand story a desired sharing proposition or DSP for short. What should your DSP accomplish? The main purpose is to create a connection with your clients!
Think about jewelry brands that are iconic! They have customers for life because they were able to create an emotional connection with clients. They lure in their dream clients with their story and marketing. Don’t feel overwhelmed! If big brands can do this you can too!
Creating Your “Why”
This totally goes along with the purpose of your story. We all want to lure in our dream clients and create customers for life. Start with your “why.” Why are you in business in the first place? My why, how I got into jewelry design, is actually because my mom passed away.
I know that sounds crazy! But I have such a deep connection to pieces from my mom. I want the pieces I design for my clients to inspire a similar connection. Sharing my why helps engage clients on a more personal level and helps me stand out.
What are your core values as a company? What are you passionate about as a person?? When you can clearly define your core values this helps your customers connect what they value to what you value.
Maybe you’re super excited about animal rescue or sending girls to college. Including something you value in your DSP creates a deeper level of engagement. Customers will totally pick up on that and you might create clients for life!
