Marquel: Hey, what's up, my friend? Marquel Russell, and welcome to this brand new episode of the School of Client Attraction. In today's episode, I'm going to share with you three strategies, follow-up strategies, that you can actually implement into your marketing right now that we've seen triple profits.
Now, I'm saying, “we've seen”, because I don't want to be out here making claims, and if you go implement in it and it doesn't triple your profits and now you're coming down on me, or maybe it more than triples your profit and you said, Okay, Marquel, you way undersold this thing. But that's why I said we've seen it from implementation and seeing our clients implement it as well. [01:02.0]
Let's get into these three strategies. The first follow-up strategy, let me say this first, before I get into the three strategies. No. 1, you’ve got to understand that you have three different types of prospects. You have ice-cold prospects. You have your lukewarm prospects, and then you have your piping-hot prospects.
Your cold, your ice-cold prospects, that's only about 2% of the market. That's about 98% of the market. These are the individuals who don't know you. They aren't even really aware of the pain that… They don't even realize they have pain or they're not looking for a solution right now, but you still want to market to them and be on their radar and I'm going to show you how to do that.
The lukewarm prospects, they know they have a problem. They're actively seeking solutions, but they're looking for authority to plug into, right?
And then you have the 2% of the market. That's the piping-hot prospects. They're literally ready to buy right now. Most people are only focused on them. You don't want to make that mistake. Okay?
Now that you know, the three different types of prospects, let's talk about the three follow-up strategies and how you speak to all of them at the same time. [01:58.4]
No. 1 is probably the most powerful and it tends, what we've seen and even studies have shown that for every dollar you invest into this strategy, you typically get $43 in return, which is significant. Right? And that is email marketing. We always recommend—you’ve probably heard me say this over and over and over again—email your list every day. You want to be building the list. You want to be emailing that list every single day.
That's the one follow-up strategy. Even if somebody doesn't open your email, you still create brand recognition because they see your name in their email box. It's very, very, very powerful. That's number one.
No. 2 is creating content, creating daily content. One of my buddies said they started creating content every day and then they stopped, and they started creating content every day again and they stopped, and they started creating content every day again and then they stopped. But what they’ve found is that when they create content every single day, actually their ads are 300% more profitable, because when somebody sees your ads, they're going to go see what other content you’ve got online.
If you don't have other content online, you really don't exist on the internet, so you want to have content, whether that's on YouTube, whether it's podcast episodes, whether that's videos on your Instagram or Facebook. Whatever the case may be, you want to have content online because these are little pieces of real estate that you can put all over the internet. [03:11.0]
Creating daily content, again, helps you stay top of mind in the follow-up process, so now when somebody is ready to do business, they see you as top of mind because they keep seeing your stuff.
No. 3 is retargeting. Some people call it remarketing. Whatever the case may be, now, retargeting is simply, have you ever gone to somebody's website and now you see them all over the place? They keep starting to follow you around the internet. That's retargeting, right? You want to do that. You want to have that set up on all your different online assets, so now when somebody comes to your site, you can literally follow them around the internet and you can stay in their newsfeed, and that also helps you stay top of mind.
There are cool ways that I won't get into right now where you can take people from Facebook and you can retarget them on Google and YouTube and TikTok and all different types of platforms. But that's a little bit advanced for this particular podcast episode, right, you guys? I had to show you all this different type of stuff. [03:59.5]
But those are the three strategies, email, content, and then retargeting. When you tie all three of these together, it’s very, very, very, very powerful.
