Marquel: Hey, what's up, my friend? Marquel Russell here, and welcome to this brand new episode of the School Of Client Attraction and, in today's episode, I'm going to show you how to guarantee you never lose money on ads.
Before I do that, I'm going to share with you how most people lose money on ads. Most people lose money on ads because they're missing a few critical things. Number one, you'd be surprised how many people I see running ads and they don't even have a pixel setup on their pages. If you don’t even have a pixel, man, how are you tracking anything, right? How do you if you can’t track your results? What's measured gets tended to, right? So, if you're not tracking, you don't know what's working or if anything is working. That’s number one, they don't have that. [01:09.5]
Number two, they don't have a marketing funnel in place. People ask me all the time. They're driving traffic directly to their blog or they're just driving it to some other generic site, or whatever the case may be, or just a page that doesn't have any kind of lead generation or monetization mechanism.
Those are a few reasons. They don't have those things in place, so it's important to have your tracking in place. It's important to have the right marketing system in place. Then, number three, it's important to have the right offer in place.
Here's what I mean, by having the right offer in place and it’s going to lead me to how to guarantee you never lose money on ads. Number one, most people, I'm seeing them run ads and they're doing things driving traffic to their book, and their book maybe 15 books. I ask them, What's next after they buy the book? and they’ll be like, Well, nothing. Some people have a course and it’s like the course is 97 bucks, and after they buy the 97 book, there’s nothing else. [02:00.7]
Some people I see where some guru who has told them to do a free plus shipping offer for their book, to get the book for free, all you’ve got to do is pay for shipping, or somebody told him to do a tripwire funnel or whatever the case may be and they don't really understand how the economics work. When they don't understand how the economics work, they're not thinking, Okay, it's going to cost me a certain amount of money to actually get this client.
Let me give you a real-life story. I have a big influencer who hired me a few weeks ago to actually consult with him on his ads. I was looking at what he was doing and I was looking at his offers, and both of them were like a membership and then it was like an annual offer, but it wasn't really anything higher-ticket on the back end.
I was like, Okay, cool, this is great, man. However, are you thinking about putting a higher-ticket offer on the back end, just so you can ensure you're profitable? Because, let's say, for example, your annual membership is 297 and let's just say it costs you 297 to actually get a customer. I'm not saying it will, but let's just say it does, because we already know that the more you can afford to spend to get a customer, the more you can spend on advertising and you can beat all your competitors right. So, if the max you can spend is 297 or 497, and other individuals have a $10,000 $15,000, $25,000 offer, they can beat you every single day of the week, because while you can only afford to spend 300 or 350 to make 500, they can spend 1,000 or 2,000 because they’ve got a $10,000 offer.
So, the way you guarantee that you never lose money on ads is by having a high-ticket back end offer tied on to your business. I don't care if you're an author and you're selling books. I don't care if you're a course creator and you're selling courses for 97 bucks. I don't care if you sell membership sites. I don't care if you have a cert. Whatever it is, whatever you're selling, it’s very important to have some kind of high ticket offer in place, because that's going to put you in a situation where you can always be profitable on your ads and you can really scale.
Not only can you scale, you can hire people and you can start to remove yourself from different places in your business as well, but that's a whole mother episode obviously, but to guarantee you never lose money on ads, if you’ve got a $5,000, $10,000, $15,000 offer, you can easily afford to invest 1,000 or 2,000 or something like that to actually get a $5,000 customer, while the rest of the people in your niche can't afford to do that because they only have a low-ticket offer. So, if you want to guarantee you never lose money on ads before you launch your ads, number one, make sure your tracking is in place. Make sure you’ve got the right marketing funnel in place. Then, make sure you have a high-ticket offer on the back end or even on the front end to make sure that you're going to be ROI profitable.
