Without headaches or hassles

On today’s episode, the human strength expert Kyle Newell discusses the myth of breakfast and frequent meals. Too often people are led to thinking that eating more is good for the body. Tune in to learn why it isn’t so and how fasting can help you become better!

Business as Usual

Kyle bought the myth of having to eat often. He used to eat eight meals a day during the height of his bodybuilding career. He followed advices from magazines and coaches.

But as he advanced, he realized the the lessons he learned weren’t based on science. They were based off the ideas founded by the supplement industry.

From a perspective, the food and supplement industries are on for business. They are set to make profit just like other businesses. For that, they need people to consume more of their products.

Away with Stubborn Fat

Kyle did a comeback show in 2014. He had a patellar tendon rupture before that. And, he just focused on lowering his body fat as much as possible.

As he discusses in this episode, there are different fat receptors in the body. There are areas that hold stubborn fat. They are characterized by poor blood flow, and feel colder to touch.

To lose fat, blood has to get in the area to get rid of the fatty acids. If you can’t get in blood, you can’t get the fat out.

A Manageable Appetite

Kyle shares the lessons he learned from Lyle McDonald about fasting. According to him, fasting increases blood flow in areas with stubborn fat.

When he read that, he started to diet hard when doing bodybuilding shows. And, it worked. Kyle observed how his appetite became more manageable.
