Hi there. I'm Jill Allen. And this is find your fierce, the show designed for women to discover your fierce unlock, an unstoppable mindset, build unbreakable courage, and completely transform how you show up every single day. (00:33): Hey, they gang. Welcome to find your fear so glad that you were here with me. As we dive into a brand new episode, as always, I'm super excited about these next few minutes of our day, because this just may be the fire you are needing to break through for a flip of the script, we are talking about what we think about and how to create new brain trails, that positive and good thoughts travel on. (01:10): You are all so amazing. And I thank you for your love, your support, your encouragement. I appreciate your feedback, your reviews. And I love that you share this in podcast and the step free message with your friends and family. So if you could keep on doing that, that would be incredible because you are helping this movement as it helps reach more women and it impacts more lives. And that is certainly what life is all about. So thank you again. Okay. Ready to dive in. I'm gonna be starting off with a very strong statement. God is more interested in changing your mind than your circumstances within your mind. Our thoughts that control your life. Your thoughts are either propelling you forward, you know, toward your God-given destiny or your thoughts are holding you back in a small life far sure. Of what you were created for.

(01:54): So, which is true for you. Are you being propelled forward towards more or are you being held back into less? And it's all according to what you're thinking about, and this is why God is far more interested in your mind than your circumstances. This is why God will allow you to stumble right into some messy circumstances. And in the middle of that hot mess is where he actually does his finest work on your mind and your heart changing the way that you think every bad decision we have ever made is a result of a bad thought. Think about that. And you, and you'll find it's probably absolutely true. Every bad decision you've ever made was first a bad thought that you acted on. There is a war within us for our thoughts. I mean, our mind is the battleground. So could today be radically changed by a shift in your thoughts could change in your mind, change your life.

(02:46): Is it trendy, new age thing to stand in the mirror and speak affirmations? Is it biblical to memorize your goals or envision your success and harness your energy? Let me tell you God already hardwired you to become what you think about. And it says, so in Proverbs 23 7, it says four as he thinketh. So is he, your life becomes what you think about. Did you know God created you with superpowers? I mean, you really did. I know it sounds crazy, but he really created you with superpowers. Maybe you've gone your whole life without knowing you have had these powers inside of you. But nonetheless, it has been working in your life. These powers are actually located in our brain. Stem are like these brain trails and they serve as the gatekeeper to our mind. I mean, it determines what we become consciously aware of and what remains as outside noise, never making it fully into our awareness.

(03:37): They keep a sane. That's a good thing, guys. If we truly noticed every one of the 50 billion sites sound sense and sensations flying at us at any given second, we would go straight up crazy. So we block out these overwhelming, well, we block out the overwhelming majority of all that, which is around us and only see here, feel, and smell and notice a tiny fraction of what actually there is. In fact, we're not even consciously aware of like 99.9, nine, 9% of all that is flying at us in this moment. It's all just background noise. I mean, if you're in your kitchen, you probably didn't even notice the sound of your, your refrigerator until now. If you know, we've had, I know we've had an ice maker that constantly makes noise and squeaking sounds. And unless I'm focused on it, I don't even notice it.

(04:26): If you're outside, you probably didn't even hear the birds until I just mentioned it. But they were there. If you're sitting in a chair, you didn't even notice the feeling of your rear in that chair, but you do now. So how does all of this happen? Suddenly the mention of these ordinarily dismissed things alerted these neurons in our brain stem, that it was important to us and it allowed it into our awareness. And it's always been there. We just weren't aware of it. Doesn't that? Leave you to wonder what you're missing now. What is responsible for determining what you become aware of and what you never even notice? The miracle of how our body was designed and created all the superpowers he has blessed us with and it's not by accident. It was given to us by our creator by great design and we can use it for our benefit.

(05:15): We can, you know, we can take charge. I mean, we actually are in charge of self-awareness the brain trails we create. We can become super aware of our thoughts today. If you decide, you wanna think about things that make you happy, we activated brain trail. That will be fine tuned to seek out those very things and bring them into our awareness. Suddenly we're surrounded by things that make us happy. They were always there. It's just, now that we're noticing them, think about when you buy a new car, you can, you know, you think how unique and how different your car is. We bought a new 4runner last fall, this like this really neat gray, silver. I don't even know what color it is. I like it. But what do you know? We started seeing the same car in the same color with the same wheels everywhere.

(05:59): So how does that happen? Again, our superpower at work, noticing the things we deemed as important and sadly, most of us have been taken, um, have taken this amazing superpower given to us by our creator. And we fine tuned it to find the negative, to find the stressful and overwhelming things to worry about. Do you agree? And as we think so, are we, we think overwhelming thoughts. So we are overwhelmed. We think worried thoughts. So we are worried. We think negative thoughts. So our lives are generally negative and it doesn't have to be this way. Our thoughts have gone wild and it's time to harness them, tame them and make them work for us. Instead of against us, our thoughts control our life and they may just be ruining our life. If we don't watch out second Corinthians ten five, it tells us to take captive.

(06:51): Every thought to make it obedient to Christ, take captive every thought, grab a hold of your thoughts and examine them. Are your thoughts serving you are your thoughts, even true, take it captive and make it obedient. You can change your thoughts. You can intentionally change your mind and it will change the very things you see in your life. Why? Because it resets your brain trails, creating new ones. And those trails are the gatekeeper to your mind. And as a result, they will begin ushering and supporting evidence for the thoughts that you are thinking, opportunities will start showing up ways to reach your goals will be there. Reminders of gratitude and proof of the blessings in your life will be abundant. All the amazing things you have today that were once only dreams will be highlighted and recognized front and center. I mean, what an amazing day of life it could be.

(07:41): If we're surrounded by all, that is good, all that is right. All that we once prayed for and dreamed of. And guess what? That's exactly how today could be for you. It's a choice. All of this will happen when you choose to take captive every thought and make it obedient to Christ. Reign those thoughts in you don't have to entertain every thought that flies into your mind. Think about that for a second. Entertaining, a thought, are we taking negative, harmful thoughts and entertaining them? We're doing a song and dance for these life, destroying thoughts and inviting them to hang out around. Longer's like here, come take up space in my life. You negative little worry, come, come join my party, come on in and stay a while. U pesky reminder of all that has gone wrong in the past and all that may go wrong in the future.

(08:28): Come hang out with me, come partner with me. Let me wallow in the negative. Let me soak in the pain. Let me wear my victim badge and render myself powerless. You know what I'm talking about? And we must stop that. It doesn't look good on you. Take captive. Your thoughts, make them obedient. What are you going to think about today? Remember, it's very important because the thoughts you think are fine tuning your brain trails to seek out and to find all the supporting evidence to back your thoughts and prove them true in your life. Today, we decide what we become overwhelmingly aware of by intentionally choosing our focus, seek your blessings, your answered prayers, all that is good, all that is right. You will surely find that your life is just so, so good. I'm fired up. And if you're wanting even more fire in your day, there's so much for you to do so.
