Build unbreakable courage and completely transform how you show up every single day. Each week I will bring ideas, methods and strategies that will inspire you to step into your greatness and live life on purpose. Let's be fit, fierce and unstoppable.
(00:35): Welcome going to find your fears so glad you are here. Today's chat. We're going to continue the series called ignite the fire, and that is exactly what we're going to do here today. That flame inside of you, we're going to get that blazing so strong that you are fired up to walk with purpose each and every day. But before we dive in, I pray that you will join our set free book club that begins in August. And I know that so many of you have snagged your copy and read the message of set free. But through the book club, we're going to actually be doing the work and digging a little deeper over the course of six weeks. And so be sure to join us@joeallencoaching.com. All right. So we're talking about the fire that we have within, and I have to say that it is so needed and taking that time to reflect and to drown out the chaos and the everything that your day throws at you.
(01:26): We need to be intentional and carve out that time so that we slow down so that we can speed up. And I know last week we talked about playing it safe and the potential that God gave you and how so much of your potential has gone untapped and how to move forward, walking in your fullest potential. And this week we're diving into your uniqueness and your identity. And by doing that first and foremost, we need to be able to get into agreement with God, what God is saying about you. And I know you've been so busy disagreeing with the truth that you have totally bought into a lie and a lie believing that you may, anything that you've done in the past has limited your future and a lie that maybe you feel unequipped to do. And now you think everything is unattainable. And I just want to remind you from what we talked about last week is that our God absolutely loves to pour out his unending grace and power and love to you and to me, and to all the daughters that he has.
(02:36): And so why have we put limits on what God can do with us, through us and for us and whatever God wants us to do, he can do. And our little thinking, to be honest, and to just like totally be Frank, it needs to get out of the way, and we need to make room for that destiny now. And so when God was forming, he didn't have little or average or mediocre things in mind for you. I mean, he didn't say, Hey, crystal, I hope you don't expect too much. Or Jill, you're always going to be a loser because I just don't have anything else to pour into you. And Jodie I'm, I'm just going to need you to be okay with settling guys. That is totally insane. He would never ever say that he looked at us, he looked at you. He looked at me and he dumped all this potential in us.
(03:27): He gave us the gifts that would change the world. And he's never going to give up on us. And I have to ask you, when you look in the mirror, what do you say about you? What do you say about yourself? What does the Lord say about you? And we need to get into agreement with him and I can bet the odds are, they don't always align. They don't always match up. And he's asking us to do right now. If we can trust him enough, to just agree with what he says about us. Do you trust God enough to believe? What are you said about you? Do you trust them enough to release your fears and your doubts and your insecurities, or do you trust them enough to give up your excuses so that you can end all the delays, everything that has been holding you back.
(04:17): So we're just going to dive right into it right now. I'm going to start dropping these truth bombs on you. And the fact that you have been created for that purpose is just so good, right? We are called to walk confidently in that purpose, but we get lost. We get sidetracked, we look side to side and we get busy and we lose sight of the truth. And we lose sight of who we really are. Have you ever asked like, oh my gosh, who am I? Right? We hit a midlife crisis. Or we hit a point in our life and we ask, who are we? And we come up with our own ideas and we come up with something that's probably totally different than who we really, really are. So I kind of want to walk you through a few things today. First, I want to kind of start with who we are not okay, because we get this warped identity.
(05:06): Okay? Number one, we are not what we do. We are not our job. We are not our degree. We are not our title. We're more than that. And what happens if that gets stripped away? What happens? If, what we do disappears, it vanishes. It goes away. Then who are you? Right? What you do is not who you are. And I know, you know, I got to ask, have you lost yourself in what you do? Have you lost yourself in being a mom, being a wife, being a career-driven woman or your job title is your value and your worth all wrapped up in what you do. The people you help or the work that you complete. Ladies, you are not what you do. Okay? Number two, you are not what has happened to you, right? Carry around like this badge or a name tag or a title.
(06:03): It's like, we have like boldly printed on our shirt, or we have it on her hat. Like we have it plastered on. Maybe it's this badge that we wear that we lead with, like this badge of affliction, right? You guys are more than the cancer survivor or the, the woman who's overweight or the woman who has a disability. I mean, this is not, this can not be the most important thing about you. You are more than the single mom or the unemployed. You're more than the divorce. A, I mean, I mean, if you lead with this, if you lead with what has happened to you then, guess what, what has happened to you is leading you, right? Have you lost yourself in what you've gone through your journey of pain and affliction and your weakest moments, your lowest moments. Are you leading with that? What is greater the path or the person, right?
(06:56): You are not what has happened to you. You are not what has been taken from you. You are not what you have gone through or what's wrong with you. Okay. So we got to stop seeing herself like that. Have you lost yourself? Have you got so wrapped up in your identity of, I just don't know who I am anymore. The identity of being unimportant, or have you claimed yourself to be a nobody, or I'm just ordinary. That's not who you are. That's not what God says about you. Right? He handcrafted you. So I don't want you playing little and shrink to the sidelines of your own life claiming to be a nobody or you've missed the goodness or the potential of what it is that you've been created for. And three, you are not a washed up superhero. Right? Do you remember when you were a little kid, a little girl.
(07:45): I want you to think back to that time, when you were a little girl, when you believed in the happily ever after you were playing princess or Barbies, or that you were the going to be the best athlete out on the court or the singer or whatever it is that you had, these massive dreams, and that you could think that you could do anything, that you could be anyone and that you can do it all guys, where's that gap. Where did we just start thinking the other way that it just can't be done, that we can't do these amazing things anymore. That we just lost ourselves. That we've lost that Cape. We've lost the superpower in all of that guys. You are not, again, the work that you complete, the degree you hold, the title, you where the struggles that you've gone through. You're not what has happened to you or what you're going through.
(08:37): Maybe right now, guys, you are not a nobody. Who's destined to be lost to play it. Small, play it safe. You are not washed up. You're not too old to whatever you can fill in the blank. Guys. You are destined for goodness. You are chosen for a purpose that I don't want you to ever forget that. So we've talked a little bit about what we're not right. We're not a washed up superhero or not, you know, in what we do. And we are not what has happened to us. So of course, I'm always like talking about the good and focusing on the good, and I want to remind you of who you are. And first and foremost, guys, you are God's masterpiece. Think about that. You are God's masterpiece. We talked about the potential last week, where he was perfectly forming us and thinking about every single detail, the fact that you are a child of God, you are the daughter of the king.
(09:29): You are forgiven. You are so purpose filled. You are fully equipped. You are blessed. You are favored, guys. You are like victorious in all of this. And the thing of it is it's like for us to remove the darkness, we have to focus and walk into this wonderful light. But we have to remember who we are. We are created in his image. I want you to claim that right now, claim it because that's who he has created. Something absolutely amazing that has no limits any, any, once you to step into that bonus and be courageous in your life. So why do you forget that the battle that you're in with this enemy that is trying to tear you down and keep you playing small, that, you know, causes the self doubt and the lack of confidence and makes you shrink back and play little and to sit out on your God-given purpose in life, guys, you are something special.
(10:38): You are a miracle, right? And you were created for a purpose. And I want you to be able to unleash that you are his masterpiece specifically designed to do good and amazing things. Number two, you are more than a conqueror. And it's like, okay, well, what does that mean? Because here's the thing I want you to think back to a win in your life. A glory day, a moment where you felt that you were on top, that you just claimed victory, right? That you pulled off a win. Okay? Now listen to this guys. You didn't just get lucky. You're not a one hit wonder. You're not, you know, just someone that is supposed to think about those glory days. Being more than a conqueror means that you are going to win more than once, right? That you have a track record of perseverance and overcoming.
(11:27): You have a history of winning those battles. Okay? So now it's time to rise up and win another battle and win again and win again and win again. And that's what God has given you. This is the life that he wants for you. He doesn't want to losing life. He wants you to have a winning life. So the enemy comes in, sneaks in and makes you question and plants, these seeds of doubt. And he says like, you can't win again. You can't do that again. He attacks you and it's relentless, right? And it's a threat of, to the confusion and all his twisted ways. He makes it so super hard. And when he makes it so super hard, and when you're getting hit over here and punched over there, and you're another one in the gut, and then you got a fiery arrow over here and it's like, they're coming at you.
(12:14): It's because you're a threat, there's power within you to display God's ability to do the impossible and that you are a warrior and you're made for this battle. So of course you're going to be attacked. But the thing of it is you're fully equipped and you're right on time. You're going to be able to get through this. And when, again, you're more than a conqueror and number three, this is one of my favorites, guys, you are a powerhouse. Think about this. You are a powerhouse. You have so much power in your life. Now here's the thing. Power is simply defined as the ability to do something and you have the ability to do something. You have the ability to change the ability to begin the ability to keep going. And you have this power that's within you. That's going to blow your mind. And the work of the enemy is going to make you feel incapable of doing any of that.
(13:03): But the thing of it is you are more powerful. Why? Because God has given you that power. He's given you the strength he's given you, the ability to guide you. He is working within you. You are housing, the power of the Lord. He's working within us. Think about that guys. You're housing, the power of God. That's the power that's inside of you. That's the power that creates so many wonderful things. The power that heals and the power that tears down walls and moves mountains. All of that is in you. He dwells within you. That is absolutely amazing. So take that impossible thing in your life right now and believe that it is possible. Are you really ready to make that change? Are you ready to make that thing happen this time? Are you ready to step up to the next level of living and start living up to your God-given potential?
(13:59): Because all that awesome. This is within you. God's power is working within you. I cannot repeat that enough. I cannot say that enough. All you have to do is tap into it. You have the ability to do something. You have the ability to make the next right choice. You can choose water over pop. You can choose the salad with grilled chicken over the fried foods that your body is craving. You can go and walk for 20 minutes. You can take the job, change the promotion. You can show up as the best mother and wife, the best friend, the best daughter God's power is right there. And all you have to do is lean into that power and be willing to do something, be willing to follow the lead. And I know that it's not going to be easy. It's going to take a lot of work, but God gives you the power to even be self-disciplined.
(14:47): He's given you the gift of this new day life, right? And so you can use today as the beginning of a new season, a new season is so much opportunity. The things that you want to change in your life, the things that you dream about, what's in your heart, the things that you just can't shake, that gut feeling. You could do something about your health and your fitness, your finances. You could do something about your relationships because you have the power and God is guiding you. Are you going to follow his lead? This is it. We're flipping the switch. You know how we always say, we flip the script, guys, we want to light up. We want to eliminate. We want to ignite the fire. We have to flip the switch. We need to turn on the power, tapping in to what God has already placed within us.
(15:33): Ladies, you are a powerhouse. You are not a washed up superhero. You are not wrapped up in what you do. You are not what you have gone through. You are a masterpiece. You are more than a conqueror and you are a powerhouse. So here's a couple of questions that I want you to reflect on. Journal, write it in, share with us and just kind of reflect and dig down deep. What do you say about yourself? What uniqueness have you been given? What does the Lord say about you align those things up. What do you have to do to align those things up? Get into agreement. What new season are you stepping into? What will it require of you and what will you do about it? Are you willing to make the change? Absolutely love it. I hope you guys are fired up.
