I heard something interesting from an old grizzled veteran of the marketing world.
We were talking about all these guys who call themselves “funnel exspurts.”
And how they charge suckers big dineros to build these complicated sales funnels.
He said they keep the funnels extremely confusing so even if you try to follow along you won't be able to do it on your own.
Then when they sign you as a client they demand a royalty along with a hefty retainer.
Now here's the funny part…
He says the royalty is an illusion to make people think the funnel thingy actually works.
It's all smoke an mirrors.
I told him we should do a show exposing these funnel fakers for what they are – a bunch of hucksters and charlatans.
Anyways, I'm a fan of keeping things simple.
That's why my funnels usually only have three steps.
Get attention, get a lead, make a sale.
