I don't know if you noticed but I've been binging on books lately.
It all started with a goal I set earlier this year to read 52 books in 2016.
I started the year strong reading one book per week, but something weird happened when I was in Utah snowboarding for the week.
I'd get up super early to hit the gym before we went out for the day and when I got back to our place it was completely quiet. I didn't want to wake anyone so I started reading, and reading, and reading.
Much like Forrest Gump couldn't stop running, I couldn't stop reading once I got going.
So far I've read 28 books this year (some of them more than once.) And I'm doing daily book review videos to keep me accountable.
Anyways, the book I read today was “Kick Ass, Take Names, eMails,and Phone Numbers” by hard core closer Ryan Stewman.
There's a ton of great info in the book, but I wanted to zero in on one key point to share with you today.
On page 43 he says, “If you're going to kick ass, you've got to have the mentality of going above and beyond everybody else.”
And he's right, you gotta do that if you want to stand out in your market.
