IGTV for your jewelry business
Instagram recently added a new feature called IGTV and I’m excited about it!
The biggest reason is because it allows you to have your very own TV show – right on your Instagram account!
It’s like integrating everything YouTube has to offer into your Instagram. The biggest difference is that YouTube is still used very much like a search engine, while IGTV is like binge watching your favorite show on Netflix.
People are there because they already like you and want to know more!

There are lots of video platforms out there, Instagram stories, YouTube, Facebook Live, etc. What makes IGTV different from everything else because it’s a longform video platform that exists within your existing account!
But with YouTube it’s more of a search engine to get answers to your questions. IGTV gives your followers a longform way for them to connect with you when they already know who you are.
Using IGTV for Jewelry
Don’t overthink it! Just get started and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. Since this tool is new, there’s really no wrong way to do it.
You can do a brand intro video, post your maker video, how to wear your jewelry, client interviews, testimonials, etc. This grows your brand awareness and shows people what you’re all about!
Creating a Connection Beyond Your Brand
Video is such a great way to connect with your customers. You can share so much more than just your jewelry because as an artist, people are interested in YOU.
Think of your favorite artists whether they’re singers or actors, maybe even fellow designers – what do you want to know about them? You probably want to know what their dogs names are, and where they’re going on vacation! You can share videos like this on your IGTV show!
