Usually I don’t talk about feelings.
Mainly becuase I’m a bad mo-fo with ice water running through my veins.
But seriously…
The real reason is becuase I don’t like when people talk to me about their feelings.
My skin starts to crawl and I start clawing for the nearest door to get away.
I imagine most people feel that way too.
So I shove my feelings in a box and bury them in cement deep underground never to see the light of day again.
Today I’m taking the day off from being a sociopath to share something with you.
For those of you that don’t know,
Me and Cupcake tried to have a kid.
Vigorously.
For two years.
When that didn’t work we decided to adopt.
We had no clue how long it would take, but we knew we had to do it.
It took three years.
When we finally met our son it was nearly five years from us deciding we wanted a family, to the day we finally met our son.
Most people don’t have the stomache for this.
Those three years of waiting were some of the hardest of my life.
I think Cupcake would tell you the same.
Thing is,
We knew we had to do this to have the family we dreamt of.
It’s wasn’t easy.
It didn’t happen overnight.
And if we had to do it all alone it wouldn’t of happened.
Speaking of doing it all alone.
