I heard this story the other day from a guy in a podcasting group I belong to.
He said he's been doing his show for three months now.
He spends a lot of time prepping for his show, makes sure he's always bringing new topics, and he puts a lot of thought into producing each episode so it sounds great.
Each 1/2 hours show takes him around 5 hours to produce and promote.
He posts new shows 3 times per week.
After he posts the shows he makes sure to put them on all his social media's including Facebook, Twitter, and Linked in.
He invested thousands of dollars into his “studio” and hundreds of hours into creating his show.
This guy is dedicated.
The only problem is his show averages a mere 20 downloads per episode.
He was very frustrated with his progress and he was ready to quit.
And who could blame him – all that time and money he's invested and no one is listening.
I gave him some advice – it's the same advice I give my clients who pay me thousands of dollars to setup their podcast shows for them.
At first he didn't like it – but when he thought about it he said it made perfect sense.
He started his podcast the wrong way and now he's paying the price.
He decided to go back to the drawing board and do it my way.
It's the same exact way I'll show you how to start your podcast in the first issue of my print newsletter – “Podcast Mogul”
It has nothing to do with your mic,
Nothing to do with your studio or equipment,
And absolutely nothing to do with YOU at all.
When yo do it my way you'll have listeners before you even have a show.
