Now, today I want to talk to you and I literally want to give you one of my secret weapons. And what is the secret weapon? It’s literally the thing that I used to grow my business and grow my brand before I even got into paid advertising. Seven years ago, we probably had thousands and thousands and thousands of pieces of content online. Right now, obviously we’ve created a podcast episode. We do a video for Instagram and we put it on YouTube. We do that every day, Monday through Friday. So, it’s pretty crazy. We’re always cranking out content. Always cranking out content. Always cranking out content.

Why? Because content is a business asset, if you do it right, and I'm going to show you how to do it. But if you're not doing content in your business, you’re leaving a huge amount of money on the table, and you're doing yourself and the people you're meant to serve a huge disservice as well, because people, the internet thrives off content. So, if you don't have content online, you kind of don't exist.

Now, even if you're running ads, you still want to have content because having content, actually, it makes your ads convert better. So, here's what I mean. And not only makes your ads convert better, but as a coach or consultant, it also helps your sales calls where your enrollment calls convert better as well, because by the time somebody sees your ad and then somebody … Let me just tell him to take you through like a buyer's journey, right? So, somebody see your ad and they're like, Hmm, who's this guy, Marquel? They might not even opt in, but then they'll go like, Let me look on YouTube and see what he’s got. Let me look on Instagram. Let me check them out on Instagram. Let me Google him and see what happens. And then he sees this content come up or your podcasts come up, or your videos on YouTube come up.

Now they started watching one and they’re like, This is pretty good, and everything is pointing back to your opt-in and to your funnel, right? And then, watching other pieces of content. Now they're starting to be indoctrinated into the way you think, and now by the time they come to the call or even if they’ve already scheduled a call, they're like, Man, I don't watch every video you’ve got, all the content you’ve got online. I haven’t listened to all the podcasts. This is amazing. Now they're more sold on you because your content becomes little sales people that's out there doing the selling and the marketing for you, so now when it comes down to buy, it's not like you're a stranger. They know who you are through your content, especially if you're being a hundred percent authentic in content.

So, if you’re listening to my voice right now, you’ve been listening to our episodes, which I recommend—go, listen to all of them—you could begin to meet and understand me, and know me on a more intimate level because this is just how I am all the time. [03:10.5]

I mean, I'm all of a sudden doing a podcast now, but you kind of get to know how I think, how I operate, what I value, all these different types of stuff, so that really helps and you can literally be doing the same thing in your business as well.

So, there are three things you want to make sure every piece of content does. Three things your content should do.
Number one, every piece of your content should add two things. So, number one, every piece of content you put out should provide massive value. Okay? It should provide massive value and show people and give them something they can actually implement that it really serves people. It really solves their problems, because the best way to show people you can help them is by actually helping them.

So, every piece of content you put out should actually be helping people. Right? I know that probably is weird to say, that I’ve got to say it, but I’ve got to say it. So, number one, every one piece of content should be valuable for people investing their time to watch it. [04:00.0]

Number two, every piece of content should show people that they can trust you. That's number one. And also begin to show them that you can actually help them, so they can actually trust you. It should create trust and demonstrate value that you can actually help them be like, Okay, this person knows what they're talking about. Maybe they can help me. So, that's number two.

And number three, every piece of content should have an offer, and I'm not talking about you selling them something, but something as simple as, Hey, if you enjoy this, you will enjoy XYZ, and then you’re sending them to something. That's direct response advertising. So, you tell them, Hey, if you enjoy this, you probably would enjoy this as well.
