Welcome to the making of a DM ma money time in my election thoughts, we got a show to share with you. So with that said, let's get started what I know and how I did it, to discover freedom. There ain't no question. Mark, Kevin's when he stepping the dial, he's closing deals. Time to tell him what the DM stand for. I'm a deal maker, a deal maker, but I'm not just a deal maker. I'm a dream maker.
0:38 Hey, there your boy. Mark Evam’s, D, M, welcome to another making of the DM podcast show. That's right, you are the dream maker and deal maker of your life. Happy deal making day. I'm not sure when you're listening to this or what you're doing when you're listening to this, but today I'm going to go unplugged on three topics, money, time and election thoughts, stuff I don't really talk a lot about on the election side, but I definitely talk about money and time all the time, but I think you're gonna find some interesting points here. Not only that, I want to say thank you to everyone that's been sharing the show, getting your friends involved. Leaving five star reviews. That means a lot to me. If you do leave a five star review, remember to copy it and send it to me on Instagram at Mark Evans DM, we got something really cool coming up November 21 again, November 21 to be on the lookout. It's going to be absolutely epic. I've been waiting to do this for almost three years, sharing it with you so it's it's been something that's been in the making for a very, very long time, and I'm excited it's finally come to fruition. Again, mark on your calendar, November 21 it will cost you $0 it's 100% free, but it will be massively valuable to you, I promise you that. And again, like I said, it's been three years and six figures in the making to bring something really special to you guys. So today I just want to talk about some money, time and election. Like I said to I don't the show is I do this for free. I don't charge obviously. All I ask is that you share the show. You tell your friends, you post on social media, tag me, because I'd like to share it as well. Get you some followers and get you some clout, and as well, five star reviews. You know, this beautiful thing called the algorithms. When you guys leave a five star review, it lets people know, hey, I'm listening to the show and you should check it out, right?
You just never know we're not alone in this game. I know oftentimes it feels like we're alone. I had a conversation with the guy today. He actually owes me a little bit of money, and he called me. He's actually been avoiding me for about six and a half, seven weeks. He finally called me and said, Hey, man, I just I'm getting hit hard on every everywhere. And I'm like, Man, I just one, I appreciate the call. Two, I get it. I'm a business owner, just like you been a business owner for now, 28 and a half years plus, right? So I understand you're gonna have good times and bad times, but you did take a loan. I didn't hold a gun to your head. And all I'm asking is for some updates and some insights of what's going on. And he just kind of came clean, told me what was going on, and that's that's all I can ask. That's all I've ever wanted, is just kind of have a straight up, real honest conversation the good, the bad, the ugly, and just understanding money. Guys, money has a lot. I know everyone's like, Oh, dude, money's no big deal. It's what? It's just money. Well, I could tell you right now, I've been around money game a long time, and I see a lot of people. They say certain things, but they do the opposite of what they say money. They're a slave to money, right? Money controls their mood, that controls their attitude, it controls their moves, controls a lot of emotions, and especially depending how it's earned, depending how it's lost, there's a lot of variables the money.
And I don't know if you what your relationship is with money, but I've always wanted a lot of money. I grew up in small town Ohio, and I never really knew anybody made more than $50,000 a year, and I just wanted money. Why? Because I saw money as the solution to solve the problem in front of me. And that problem was watching my mom and dad struggle to pay the bills. That problem was watching my mom and dad fight about, you know, who's going to work late tonight, because who's going to take care of the kids? How am I going to get to this job or that job, or, Hey, we only have this car is broken down. We can't We can't afford it until next paycheck to get it fixed, you know. So, you know, coordinating how they're going to drive back and forth to work with each other. And I saw that my whole life, just good people working really hard, but money was always the problem or lack of, I should say. So I always took an interest in money. And I've always kind of like, how do I make money? Right? If I was selling stuff at school, if I was selling my sister's toys, if I was doing a lemonade stand, whatever back then as a kid, right? I was just, I was thinking about that all the time. I found some documents recently, probably a couple years ago, I was going to start a bait shop. Actually, was starting a bait shop. I had my sister. She was my secretary, if you will. And I was going to start a bait shop. And have you know, I had all the. Ops. I had the dryer lint. I was telling all my family members, say, the dryer lint, because you put dryer with some soil and you put the worms in there, it keeps them moist that, you know, all this crazy stuff, right?
So I found this, and I actually it's kind of like the business plan back then as a kid, I was probably 1112, years old as a kid, writing this stuff out, kind of, you know, strategizing how we're going to actually make some money in this thing. But as this obviously changes as we get older, at 18 years old, about my first gutter company and $1,000 down creative financing. And I just always, I always knew all you got to do is ask, what's the worst they can do is say no, and that goes for everything, like dating, connecting. You know, businesses, buying houses, borrowing money, what like, whatever it is, all they could do is say no. But every time I got told no, I learned something. I learned how to approach it. I learned what to say, what not to say, how to present it just allowed me to get better. And for some odd reason, the older we get, the deeper we get in the game of life, the less receptive we are to being told, No. That's why I love working with people that are kind of green in the game of life, because they don't have this mental capacity of being told no. They don't understand what it means. They just keep going. They just want to grow. They want to go. They want to push. They want to, you know, like, cool. You said, No, next, okay, can't do that next like they just, they don't overthink it. They don't over complicate simplicity. So money, to me, was always a solution. Yes, I like nice things, but it doesn't define me. I like nice cars, but I could drive whatever, right? But the cool thing is, is when you really get in a better relationship with money, you understand, there's an abundance amount of money around there. If you're solving problems, create solutions, solve problems, and you can charge people. It's it's funny to me, because when I was first in the game, my first objective was, how do I simply make $100,000
6:56 a year? That's all I ever wanted to make. Talked about this many times. I work 16 hours a day. That's how much I need to make per hour, 365, days a year. I don't need to worry about Christmas things. I'll work. I can't wait to work, right? But as you evolve, you start realizing it's not just about working, it's about working smarter, right? If you were like me, I was really good at creating money, you know, jobs, doing jobs, but I was very bad. I didn't have a system or process of collecting the money. I assumed everyone was like me. If you say you're going to pay someone, you pay them. It's real simple. Well, unfortunately, that's not how the real world works. These are real world lessons that you learn by actually being in real business, right? You have to have a process. You have to have a structure. There's a percentage that don't pay there's a percentage that screw around, there's a percentage that pay late. They just thought that's just the way they function. So you learn these things. Another good lesson I learned is, you know, don't sell something to broke people broke. It's really hard to make money with broke people, right? Find a great service or product or offering and bring it to a market that can afford what you're offering. Sounds simple, doesn't it? I could have the best deal in real estate could be a 200,000 house I could be selling for 100 grand, if I'm selling it to $100,000 property to a broke person. They're going to tell me why it's a shit hole. They're going to tell me why, why it's a rip off. They're going to tell me why it can't work. They're going to tell me it's a scam. But what they're really saying is, dude, I don't have the money, so I'm going to make I'm going to bash you and act like it's you, not me, because, oh, by the way, if I say it's me, I gotta do something about it. So instead, it's a reflection of themself.
You see this all the time, right? So you learn how to present, more importantly, you learn who to present to. I as I get longer in the game, my close ratio is pretty high, percentage wise. Why? Because when I'm talking to someone, I've pre qualified them at the highest level. And not only that, I've presented 1000s and 1000s and 1000s and 1000s of times, right? So I know what to say, know what not to say, etc, and you understand how to, you know, connect with people, right? I don't really sell. I connect, I communicate. I understand what their big needs and wants are. I see if this makes sense and it's okay to tell them, No, my conversions. The truth is, if I if they don't move forward with me, it's not because they're they don't want to. It's because I probably told them they can't. It's not for them. So these are things that you learned on the journey. And money is interesting to me, because I know there's a lot of different types of people listen to me. You might be rich with cash right now, but very poor with time. And what I mean by that is I know people worth 10s of millions of dollars that literally does not have a family life. They don't even have a personal life. They're not taking care of themselves. They're not in great relationships at all, but all they do is worry about money. Money, money. See, I don't have a relationship with money like that. I know for a fact you can generate revenue as well as have an amazing family life at the same time. Now in the beginning, and you know, depending where you're starting, you know you're going to have to make some sacrifices, and that might mean you might miss the kids sporting event, maybe here and there. But again. As long as you're conscious of that, as long as you're communicating that with your loved ones, it always will work itself out because you're present in communicating and letting them know what's going on. Where I see a lot of people get sideways on this is they're out here chasing the money, and they're so busy chasing the money, they forget to actually communicate, and by the time they're ready to communicate, it's typically too late, and it's very tough to unwind that clock. So it's like, funny. I know guys worth 10s of millions of dollars, and they don't have an assistant, they do everything they think they get more money to get the happier they're going to be. Well, that's not the case.
I know because I've been there. So what's interesting about that is, you know, you know what a hoarder is, right? Like, if you picture someone's house and they're a hoarder, well, a lot of times, that's what some people are with money. That's their relationship they have. They just hoard money, and they will literally Hoard and hoard and hoard, and they don't see an issue with that. That's a sickness, right? That happens. That's not what I'm talking about. But again, these are things I see often, and then I see the person that just doesn't have a lot of money, and they talk down to people that have money, thinking that the more they talk down to it, the more they're going to get. Well, I can promise you this, if you talk down to money and you belittle it and you belittle people that have it, you literally will never have money, and if you do, you'll never have a lot, and if you do have a little bit, you'll never be happy with it, because guess what? Your reflection of these conversations you have with yourself, right? So you're going to be thinking people are belittling you when they're praising you, and you'll start getting protective, and you'll go in a hole, and now you'll have a little bit of money, but you'll be lonely, and that's not fun. That's not the goal, is it at all? Ever so money. Money is a tool. Money simply allows you to do things for the loved ones that that's what I love. Using money for is for my loved ones. Able to pay my parents house off, able to pay for cars off, able to give teammates new cars, able to give teammates amazing vacations, even able to give teammates financial relief on a situation, able to give teammates some time off, you know, for whatever you know, situations going on in their life, if need be.
You know, utilizing money for charity, right? The Giving muscle, that's a very important thing to me and my ecosystem is we often talk about the giving muscle. Yes, it's cool to make money, but what are you doing with it? You know, there's a great book called The Psychology of money. Again, the book is called the psychology of money. It'd be a great book for anybody listening to my voice to read. And that's not a book you'd want to read once. That's a book you'd probably want to read once every year or two, just to kind of get an understanding of your relationship with money, because it evolves. As you evolve, you'll hear things inside of that book that you read five years ago that you didn't even know was existed. And that's what's neat about this game of life, growing and pushing so money. I know in the last 12 months, I've been talking a lot about survive to 25 money has been an interesting thing. Obviously, we got the election. As I'm recording this, the election is taking place tomorrow. Today is Monday. In the afternoon, I'm shooting this, and I have some election predictions. I've been I don't really follow a whole lot on the news, obviously, but I definitely have third party resources and things, and I think what's going on in this world is absolutely disgusting. I've done some polls on my social and I have a lot of smart people, which is awesome, that follow me, and that's what I appreciate you guys. I love you guys. And you know, I It's okay to have different opinions on some stuff, but when we're at a time like this, where we're at in this world when they're confusing people, if you're a boy or girl, for God's sakes, if you're putting this, you know, agenda on a child, right? If you think voting without an idea is smart. I mean, these are just practice.
These are just like things that are just mind numbing to me, to think people that would even think that's right, and, you know. So obviously, I'm very red on this particular situation with what's going on in this world. And the majority, 99% of people that are with us and follow us definitely are, because we know we need to take this world back, this country back, I should say. And it's serious times, you know, I have two amazing children that I care about greatly, and what I see in their future, based off of where we're going, it does not look good. And then, I'm not trying to get all deep on you and all this stuff. I'm just talking I believe here's what I think is going to happen. I believe Trump will win by a landslide. I believe that the hard radical left is going to take a massive delay in counting votes. They're going to come up with some kind of black swan event situation where they have to, you know, they get 1012, 20 days, whatever. And even if Trump does get in, keep mine, he doesn't get into January, 20, I believe. So they have many months to shell out billions of dollars all around the world where they can line their pockets with more money. Game. More control, gain more power. And I don't know what person in their right mind would think this person on the left could do anything. If you listen to them talk for more than 10 minutes, five seconds, let alone 10 minutes, they can't form they don't really talk about anything.
They talk in circles, and they talk down to people. So they're, you know, it's cool. That's what we understand. It's where you're at. But what are you going to do about it? You know, you're not going to change anything that's happened in the last four years that you've been a part of. It's weird that you would allow, what, 20 million immigrants in this country? Well, it's not weird, if you understand what they're really trying to do. By the way, these are these are fighting these are bad people, mostly. But this is a fighting age class of 20 million people, kind of makes sense what they're doing. If you step back and really look at this, and again, I find that a lot of business people really understand this stuff, because these are strategies that they've been executing and implementing into the world and doing a lot of brain tasks on people. Think about this. If you can get humans fighting about if you're a girl or a boy, think about the control that you can have on them. It's absolutely wild. And it's actually kind of sad that anybody would think that if you're born a man, you could have a baby. If you're born a boy, you could have a period. I mean, What world do we live in to think that this is even like acceptable? It's disgusting. And then you start throwing kids into this mix. That's when shit gets sideways. That's where I think they really messed up, is attacking the children, because that's when Mama bears step in and they realize that there's some bad stuff going on. So anybody that thinks it's okay, by the way, you shouldn't follow me immediately if you think it's okay to mess with children in any way, shape or form. Now listen, at 18, if you want to do whatever you want, go at it. But you know before that, it's absolutely insane to me, and it's sad.
And I was with my wife today, we dropped the kids off doing something, and we had a breakfast date, and we're talking, and I'm just amazed, absolutely amazed, that this is America that we live in, that this is going on. And, you know, I think the Democrats listen, I'm all about some of the stuff they do, and I'm all about what the right do, but, like, this is not the normal democratic party. This is a radical, radical communism effect. And if anybody doesn't understand that, they're just watching the wrong stations and not under they're not reading their head. We call them headline readers, right? They're reading headlines, they're seeing snippets. They're seeing like they're lying, like straight up lying, manipulating media at the highest level. And let's just take steps more further back Epstein Diddy. These are operations, by the way. They're controlling a lot of people when they gather their stuff, this is why lists don't exist. That's why people accidentally commit suicide, right? Wink, wink and all this. But like, why are all these celebrities on the left? Why are they crying on stage acting like, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread? These are controlled narratives. These are these people are controlled because of what they have on them.
They go to them and say, Yo, here's the deal we own. You do X, Y and Z. I couldn't imagine, as a human being, being controlled like that. Could you? It's terrible and that's going on. And you don't have to believe me, just look at the celebrities that are involved in what's going on. I mean, they're picking the wrong ones to even go up. It's never been more clear. And I think, you know, I love what the Trump team saying too big to rig. I hope they're right. I think, depending when you listen to my voice, hopefully this gets out by Tuesday, because I'm trying to get this out today early is go vote. My wife actually just flew to Florida and came back to vote because her mail in ballot did not magically appear. So we went down there and voted in person, knocked it out. So I want you guys to understand is like, I'm with you. I'm frustrated with this. I know it's caused a lot of business anxiety, personal anxiety. It's a great time to sort out who your friends and enemies are, if you will, people that you should definitely be paying attention to. It lets you know where their mindset is, lets you understand how controlled they are mentally, emotionally, and it brings a lot of awareness to the world. All I can say is just Be positive. Be proactive. Take care of your health, take care of your wealth, take care of your body, right? We got to take care of all these things mental. It's a very big deal. They want us fat, they want us broke, and they want us sick. I mean, it's never more clear in our entire life, so we got to combat that by doing the exact opposite. So that's my thoughts on the election. I believe, though, I believe Trump will win, but I also think that they're going to try to hijack it and do a lot of crazy shit. I think it's going to be absolutely wild.
What's going to happen? I think you're going to see it's funny. Like our parents always said, you know, do the right thing. Don't steal, don't cheat, don't lie. Everything that these people say they're doing, cheating, lying, trying to steal. Like social media has really messed these people up, because there's a lot of visibility of what's going on from Since 2020 so people are. Paying attention. There's a lot of craziness going on. And I really, truly do believe there could be a black swan event. So stay tuned. I'm not here. I hope. I hope I'm wrong, by the way. I hope I'm wrong. I hope I'm right with Trump, but I hope I'm wrong with something bad will happen prior or during his, uh, getting in because they've already tried to kill the man twice. He's still going, there's, there's just a lot of craziness going on. So anyways, if this pisses you off and you don't follow me, that's cool. I'm cool with that. I understand. And if not, you'll realize that's where we're at. We're on the same team. I'm down. So let's talk about more about time. You know the game, the reason why you're doing all this crazy shit is to gain time freedom. Financial freedom will give you time freedom, and that's why you're here. I want to teach you how to gain time freedom. I've built a pretty amazing life. Me and my wife traveled around the world for seven years, around the country, in the world. I did it for seven years straight.
I'll be talking about this possibly the next episode. But I even asked my guys in the DM Alliance and the DM family about, what would you do if today was your last day to work, like, what if you got sick? What if you got hurt, what if you died? Like, what would happen to your life? What would happen to you? Most importantly, what happened to your loved ones? See, a lot of people are business owners, until you start taking that test, then you're like, oh, shit, I have a job and I work for a psycho and it's not even a good job, because I don't have benefits, right? So, you know, it's just a good reality check that I actually do once a quarter, I sit down with my team and we see, you know, what assets we have, what's working, what's not, who's working, who's not? You know, if this happens, this happens, that happens. And just understanding our revenue channels, not all revenue channels are created equal. I have different businesses that are Passion Driven pieces that make money, but they're just cash flow really hard to sell. Some of those, they're not sellable assets. They're just Passion Driven cash flow assets. And then I have some companies that actually work without me. They work great. And when they need my help, I jump in, but most of the time they don't. So there's different types of revenue streams. And then you have different things that you could set up, like insurance policies, if you have partnerships, maybe, you know, just having better clarity, better paperwork, better documentation, better understanding of what happens when you die, what happens when you get sick? You know, let's say, if you have a company that you've created and you get sick like you literally can't work for the next 90 days, what happens?
How does your wife, your kids, your son, your daughter, your husband, your grandparent, whoever you're taking care of, how do they live the life that you're working to help build? How these are the things we need to start thinking about as deal maker, Dream Makers, because, if not, we ultimately become the nightmare, because we've enabled people to this point. And we're not preparing, we're not proactive on this front to make sure that when we're gone, by the way, we all are going to die. FYI, but when we die, that things are handled, and it's not fun, it's not exciting. And I would ask you, I would ask you this serious question, because, again, we only have about 60 days before the end of the year. How much time are you investing on this type of activity in your life? Slash business as well as your taxes. If you look at your business, your biggest expense in your business, besides employees, is going to be your tax liability, right? But yet you'll spend, point zero, 1% of your your life on that, as opposed to spending maybe 10% maybe put 10% of your time, that could make you 40% more revenue. Like, think about that. Like you got to start investing some time and getting proactive with taxes. These are things that we talk about in the deal maker Alliance. Deal maker family the DMA is a $1,000 a month group, 150 plus people in there, business owners all over the country, all types of verticals, from lawyers to accountants to blue collar businesses to every type of entrepreneur you can think of, truthfully, like we have book writers, we have health experts, we have amazing people of all walks of life in there, and it's an amazing network of people, but that's what we go through and talk about.
And if you ever want information on the deal maker Alliance, you could always shoot me a message on Instagram at Mark Evans DM and, just say, podcast, dash, DMA, and I could get you some information. It is $1,000 a month, but for what the value is and what we provide, and what we talk about, just learning one thing, meeting one person, would literally make that one of the best investments in your life. I've seen it happen time and time again. No guarantees, because you got to show up, you got to do the work, and you got to execute. But at the end of the day, it works if you work, and I love seeing that so time, that's why you're here. What are you doing to get more time? What are you doing to build a better business? Who's your number two? Who's your number three? What is the structure that you've built out? If I draw your organizational chart on my wall, on a whiteboard, then we say, who's the CEO, who's the visionary? Who's the operator, who's the accounting who's the sales guy, and it's like, me, me, me, me, me, me, me, well, we got a lot of work to do, right? I still have a lot of businesses. I have a lot of work to do. So it's at all levels, and we're constantly improving, constantly making better. And I saw this good post, actually, and I'll share this with you, because I think it's important to to know that you are not alone. And like I said, I know it feels like it this actually from Andy for seller recently, but he said, Are you scared? Are you worried? Are you stressed? Are you uncertain? Are you uncomfortable? Good you should be. It's a great sign that indicates you actually give a shit about yourself and your outcome in life, and also that you're moving in the right direction. Learn how to deal with discomfort, and you open the doors to everything.
See, I see a lot of people the taxes, stuff that's discomfort, so therefore you avoid it. But that's, that's one of the biggest line items on your expenses in your business, and you avoid it like to play because it's discomfortable. It's uncomfortable. It adds discomfort to your life, so therefore you avoid it. Guess what? It's never going away. So how do we improve it? Let's work on it. Let's talk about it. Let's find an expert to guide us. That's what you need to start thinking about, the WHO to do, the how, the who can give me help. You have to seek that, you have to invest in, that you have to find people to help you there. So when you get all this pressure, you get all this pain, get all this stress, that's a good thing, because you care. You want more out of life. You know, there's more out of life. It's not always easy, it's not fun, but it is worth it. Keep your feet moving. Keep in the game. Today was just a little bit of rant unplugged, talking about money, time and election. I'd love to hear your thoughts on what we talked about today. Shoot me a message on Instagram at Mark Evans DM, I gotta go. I got a big day today, and please, November 21 put it on your books. It will be epic, I promise. And it's 100% free. Look forward to sharing it with you. So with that said, today, count read it.
27:05 That what I know and how I did it, to discover freedom. There ain't no question mark. Kevin's when he's stepping to die, he's closing deals, time to tell him what the deal stand for. I'm a deal maker, a deal maker, but I'm not just a deal maker. I'm a dream maker. The journey is where it says it's all about the process. I'm the kid over to the team project. I'm a small town in Ohio, so I know how it did not come from a lot of money. I remember as a kid wanted to make a honey brat. See, no one making more than that graduated high school with a 1.8 sure they held me back. All my principals and teachers are alive just to witness this. I'm on both. I'm out here running to a bigger businesses. Walk away from it all, and I'll be good. But I've been called to help people, just like y'all learn again. It's come to Paul.
