(00:35): Hey there, gang. Welcome to find your fear so glad you are here. We are wrapping up the faithful finish series today. The year is still not over and today is a new day, a new opportunity, and we are making the most of it. And we're gonna talk about how we can say goodbye to the past and hello to the future. And I believe today, what's been downloaded on my heart is gonna be gentle. It's gonna be a loving reminder that we are being called to let go to surrender and to remove things that have built up in our life that hinders our effectiveness. And I know I need this for sure. And I have a hunch that you do too, but before we go any further, I have to say that I just love that you are here listening in and spending time with us.
(01:15): And so honored that I get to be a part of your day because you guys are just so amazing and I have to thank you for your love and support. And I appreciate your feedback and your reviews and love that you share this podcast and the set free message with your friends and family. And if you could keep on doing that, that would be incredible because you are helping this movement as it helps reach more women and it impacts more lives. And that is certainly what life is all about. So thank you again for being here with us each week. So have you ever walk house orders where people just have so much stuff in their house that they have to walk on top of it or they have to forge a trail to get through their house? I don't know if I, I, I know I won't, I don't think I will ever understand fully how that can ever happen because it's mind blowing to me piles and piles of just things everywhere, every little nook and cranny filled from the floor all the way up to the ceiling, jammed packed.
(02:15): I can't even imagine. And yet some people's spiritual lives are like that rather than deal with issues and keep their lives cl clean and clear. The junk keeps building up. It keeps building deeper and deeper and higher and higher until it seems impossible for them to clean up and put themselves back into working order or the way that God intended them to be. And so I think about this as like piles of unforgiveness and piles of bitterness, step acts of garbage, like anger and the shame and the guilt that they can barely make it through a day. And so when we hoard or let's be blunt here, when we refuse to let go of things like fear and doubt and jealousy, bitterness, envy, you name it, our lives become a hot mess. And we might as well compare ourselves to the house hoard where the wallpaper's falling off the walls.
(03:08): The electricity doesn't work, right? The kitchen sink is probably a slimy mess and the rodents living in this midst of chaos, the mess. And my question is how can anyone live fully with all that junk taking up all that space? Here we are. We are faithfully finishing this year and let's be real and honest with ourselves. What is piled up in your life? Is it grief, resentment, hurt, and all the things blocking you to function at the highest level God is calling you to be and do. Now is the time to say goodbye to the junk, to the garbage that you have been collecting to the past, and then hello to the future. And I don't want you to think about what you didn't do this past year. The deep regrets, what you should have done could have done would've done, or I don't want you hanging on to all of the junk and carrying it into the new year.
(04:02): I encourage you to make this day a day to spend time with the Lord and to make the decision to stop walling in all the spiritual garbage in what's in the past, all the things you can't do anything about now. I mean, it's time to let it go. It's time to dump, to get rid of all the negative focus and to start thanking God that today offers a new opportunity of hope. A new opportunity of healing of grace today is an opportunity to make some serious changes in our life. Paul said, and Philippians forget those things which are behind and reach forth to those things, which are before. I mean, we can turn the page. We can turn the page right now today. We can close the door and I'm not being flippant here or blind to the things that have happened in our life, but we can throw all those things away, whatever it may be for you.
(04:56): We can stop thinking about it. We can forgive. We can surrender. We can, we can just breathe. We can put it out of our minds. We can pray about it. We can wipe it out. We can get our eyes off of it. We can put it behind us guys. W what needs to be left behind in your life? What, what needs to be abandoned? What needs to be surrendered? What needs to be let go of what needs thrown out and never revisited or picked up again in your life. What are you hanging onto that needs to be let go of what are you hoarding, clinging to? Are you be being harassed by any past failures or tormented by betrayal and hurt? I want us to flip it. Here is the enemy trying to harass you. This is especially true. If you've already dealt with things, if you've already dealt with something, or maybe you've already tossed it out, but it keeps rearing its ugly head.
(05:51): The devil can, could be trying to force it back into your life. Things that you have been done with over, over with, and that are not changeable things that you can't control. I mean, it is a time and this is what I'm excited about. This is what I'm fired up about. It is a time to act with boldness, with bold authority, to speak to the negative thoughts, the feelings and all the things that you are choosing to hoard. And I want it's time to speak to them as the enemies that they truly are shut the door, slam it. Don't entertain them. Don't listen to them. Don't allow them to take up any more space and time within you, speak out loud and remind them that your God is bigger. Your God is bigger. Command them to get behind you and stay away from ever not today.
(06:36): Guys, you, you are not hoarding any longer. You are tossing the trash out today. Make the decision today that you are finished with fixing your mind on things that are in the past. Things that you have repented about, that you've already that things that have already been erased and that you can't do anything about right now, you have the power to turn away from the past and start focusing on what is right in front of you. It's a done deal. The clock cannot be turned back and living with all this junk hoarding. All the past hurt all the aches that we carry in our hearts past wounds, painful and careless words that have been spoken over us. Thoughtless actions from people we care about trauma and the anger that will only keep you from moving forward into the future. Maybe you've been hoarding all the pain that you've have felt from betrayal or rejection and abandonment.
(07:28): It's time to let it go and be willing to do whatever it takes to forgive. Maybe you've promised yourself that you were to let go of all the anger and the bitterness. This is a new day. You opportunity to heal from the root cause. Perhaps you're cling on to all the regrets and the what ifs, surrender your plan and purpose to him. Claim victory, as it has already been won. If all you have been thinking about are the broken promises, the past failures, it's time for you to say goodbye, leave all those things behind you and hello to this magnificent miraculous future. That lies before you these days are the last few days of the year. Time for a new start, time to clean out the house, your closet, your heart time to clean out your souls. This is a new opportunity to say goodbye to the past and hello to the future that God wants for you.
(08:17): It's your moment to begin to the wonderful possibilities that lie before you. The past is old. It's obsolete. So my question is why, why are we fixating and clinging onto any of that? Any longer? Let it go. Put things behind you. Lay them down at the foot of the cross and give yourself some grace, turn it all loose. Let them go. Quit looking backward. I'm giving you permission. I'm giving you permission to put the past behind you and to never revisit it again. You are not a failure. You are not identified by what burdens you felt you had to carry and hoard. Thank God for repentance and for a good cleaning. Only Jesus can fix it. All, all the messes, the garbage and the junk that we've been living in living with say yes to what Jesus has waiting for you. As you follow him, step by step in these days ahead, here are a few questions to reflect on.
(09:17): Can you think of areas in your life where you are hoarding attitudes that are not productive for your spiritual life? And if so, what are you going to do to start changing this mess in your life? What is the most challenging thing to throw out of your life? I get it. We all have one. There's something that we are not wanting to get to, to throw away. I don't know why. Maybe that's, what's safe. That's, what's comfortable. It's it's the unknown of what happens when we don't have to focus on that anymore. Which one? What is it that you are refusing to dump today is a clean slate. Take time today to get all before the Lord and ask him what you need to toss and leave behind and move forward. Move forward today. And are you willing to do what is required to move into this fabulous life that God has waiting for you?
