(00:38): Hey there, gang. Welcome to find your fear. So glad you're here today. We are continuing the series, the wilderness, and we're going to dive into the promises of God, how to get through the middle of the journeys we are on. And the really hard part of being in the wilderness, which is our obedience and the everyday courage it takes and having complete faith in the plan. But before we dive in, I pray that you will join our set free book club that is going on right now. I know so many of you have snagged your copy and read the message of set free, but now we're going to actually be doing the work a little bit and digging in a little deeper, showing up in the book club for six weeks of coaching and gathering and all you need is the book. So be sure to join us in the set free book club, which is on Facebook.
(01:17): And if this is your first time popping in, we are talking about how so often doors open opportunities, pop up promises are being made yet we miss them or we fight them or ignore, but God is doing in our life. And we get in the way of things and what God has planned for us and things get postponed. And maybe it's because of our beliefs and the mindsets and the actions. But with that being said, I know it's all in God's perfect timing. And we get that. But sometimes we need to kind of step aside, move aside to allow things to work. So over the next few weeks, we are being intentional and carving out that time in our day. So we can gain some clarity on how we can get out of our own way and discover how we can live a life with freedom.
(02:05): And I know the day that I'm recording this, it's actually it's August 1st. I woke up to a brand new day in a brand new month, right? It's August, 2021. And I felt like it's this opportunity to start fresh and take all that we have learned in the first half of the year, or even actually take everything that we have learned throughout our entire lifetime to just get better. That's it. That's all you have to do. That's all we have to do is get better, be better today than we were yesterday. And so will you use this day, this month to simply get better, to forget the former things, to not dwell on the past, to show up, to do new things, ways are being made ladies in the wilderness. And I know it. I can feel it it's in my gut. And so I have to ask you, do you believe God is about to make a way where been no way before?
(03:01): Do you believe a breakthrough is just ahead? And I shared the other day in the just Bree sisterhood that God is about to open the door. You've been praying for that breakthrough is coming. And at this moment, I want you to take and hold the very thing you've been struggling with in the forefront of your mind, to lean into it, to, to just kind of sit there for a moment. And I bet there's been this goal you've been working toward or relationship that you've been working on a dream that you have a mission that you've been given, and that just doesn't seem to be improving. Maybe it's your health and your fitness level, or maybe it's a project that you've been spending some time on. And you're frustrated because all of your efforts seem to be not worth it. Like you're not getting anywhere you're on this treadmill.
(03:49): And you're just staying in the same place. Think of an area of your life. You started to make progress on, but now you've fallen back. You've slipped or maybe you've actually, maybe you're now on a full-fledged slide. To be honest, that's kind of what I've been on lately, this less last year and a half. And so that's kind of why we're talking about this today is this. Maybe there's a relationship that you feel nearly hopeless or there's a habit that you can't seem to break this, this situation that maybe you're stuck in and be honest, ladies, be honest, be real. Feel that gut punch. I want you to call it out. I want you to be transparent, which goal relationship or situation isn't working for you right now. It hasn't worked so far. And I know you know what I'm talking about because it's probably the very first thing that came to mind.
(04:40): When I just asked you this question, or it made your heart drop lean in on this, take a deep breath, forget about what's happened. Quit going over and over and over it time and time again. I don't want you to keep going over old history, be present right now. Something brand new is coming your way. The door that you've been praying for is about to open. Let that soak in, speak it, believe it something brand new is coming your way. We need to have faith. We need to be faithful and I totally get it. Things may not have worked before. Little progress was being made. You feel exhausted, hopeless, and maybe even tired from unsuccessful efforts, but it's coming ladies, it's coming, but it's coming only if we give it another, try and stay in the game. If we continue to show up no matter what, just because the door was locked last time doesn't mean it's going to be locked this time.
(05:41): Give it another try. Just because the answer was no before, it doesn't mean you should give up asking. I want you to ask again, you may have tried and failed or have come up short, but I want you to try again. You know, I'm a big goal person. I love setting them. And to be honest, I love the journey even more, you know, and if I don't have a goal, I just aimlessly go about my days, which is good sometimes. But I got to have a plan. I love the process, the commitment to being better each day. I love the personal development. The training of the mind, you may have you maybe written goals last month and totally bombed, you know, and I've bombed a few times myself and have fallen short. But the question is, will you try again today? Will you try again this month?
(06:24): Will you be bold and have the courage to write new goals and believe it, that it could be different for you this time? A lot of people would call it quits to be honest, many wouldn't be so daring or fired up to go after it again. But the question is, will you, will you stop dwelling on last month failures and focus on this month's potential. It's the belief part that we need to master? I know we can set goals all day long, plan the steps, all the stepping stones to help us get there, you know, are all mapped out. But if we don't grasp the belief part, odds are the goals will not be reached. We will continue to fall short. So do you believe so? I want you to try again, to keep going. Don't keep going over how it won't work or why it didn't work last time, guys, that's old news, that's old history and we need to move on and try again.
(07:16): And I know that we can get ourselves stuck in this rut of utter destruction as we kind of replay it in our minds over and over on a repeat, all that hasn't worked for us. And I think about some of our conversations that we have with our kids, you know, when we are trying to help them with life, right? And they already have their mind made up that they built this wall of protection around them. And I know I've been guilty of that myself as well. But think about this. Have you ever tried to help someone? And before you ever get there, your suggestion completely on the table, their immediate response is no, but didn't work. It's not going to work. I tried that, but isn't that what we do with God. Maybe he's been trying to give us an answer, but we've been so busy telling him how you know, that's never worked for us or it's not going to work this time.
(08:04): I totally get it. It makes sense. It's logical to think that way it didn't work before. So why would it now? But what if it will work this time? Because God is about to do something big. It's coming that this time God is going to breathe on whatever it is that we're going after. And that we've been called to do code to be just because you may feel lost now, doesn't mean God, won't download a map for you and give you clarity just because it's been a hard, long season, doesn't mean a new season. Isn't around the corner. Just because you felt stuck doesn't mean that God won't give you the shovel to dig yourself out of this muck and gunk is coming and God is about to do something new in our lives, but we have to continue to show up and not just show up going through the motions and on autopilot, we need to be present and awake.
(08:52): We need to be fully awake. Guys. This is the only way to truly live. We need to be there in the moment with our eyes and ears wide open. We need to be looking for the doors. We need to be looking for the glimpses of hope, the light, the newness of each day, all the blessings that we are surrounded by. Did you wake up expecting to feel good this morning? Did you wake up expecting to be in a good mood? Did you wake up expecting a brand new start guys, I've been on a slide this past year and a half. My morning routine was off ever since the pandemic, which I'm so tired of using that excuse in my life anymore. So I, you know, I'm starting fresh, but I missed a day of an early start. The silence, the quiet time that I crave each morning, then one day led to two, then led to a month and led to six months a year.
(09:38): And now here we are a year and a half in this slip, which went to a slide that I was talking about. And because my morning routine was off, it kind of recap on my day when it came to my nutrition, that was off my workout sessions. They were off my day to day schedule. It was off my mindset, my heart posture, you name it. My expectations were not the same. I was waking up and expecting survival. I was expecting interruptions all day just to get through guys seek and you shall find, and I was finding those things. I was seeking the wrong things. I share that with you as hope that you're seeking good today. And that's surely what you are going to find. And I encourage you to keep your eyes open and don't miss how God is working. All these things together for something brand new.
(10:26): I was missing that as my focus was survival to get through the day, to get through the week, to get through the weekend, to get through summer wanting, to just get by right, to get back to art, normal, whatever normal is, whatever that normal routine is with school and the activities and my coaching. And then what was happening was I was missing out what was right in front of me and the script needed to be flipped. Now this brand new thing that God is about to bring, it's probably not what you are expecting and his ways God's ways are going to blow your mind. He never does things in a way that our brains, our human minds would think of that has been exactly what has happened. All these things. I felt that I needed to be rocked out the plans that I've had, the ideas that I like to call my own have all shifted.
(11:14): And he is going to do the same thing with you. Remember last week, when we talked about Exodus, when we read that Moses was leading the Israelites and their enemies, the Egyptians right, were right behind them. And Moses came to this dead end. He came to the red sea. Surely they were cornered. There was no way out. And I bet sometimes you feel like that too, right? You're you're going to drown if you keep going. But if you turn around, you're going to face attack and what does God do? Something brand new, something crazy, something that has never been done before. He told Moses to put a staff in the water and the red sea parted on a dry path was before them. And the dry path was before them. Can you imagine this? Moses is surely about to die and here he is responsible for all these people who's trying to save.
(12:00): And God tells him to do something that is so crazy, so ridiculous. And he says, just go put your staff in the water guys. It makes no sense if Moses would have stood there, delaying and rationalizing and arguing and questioning and doubting, he would have missed the miracle. If we stand there delaying and rationalizing and arguing and doubting guys, we're going to miss our miracle. I know it doesn't make sense to try again. I know it seems crazy to believe that it's going to work this time, but God is about to do something brand new, something crazy, something miraculous. And we have to believe that the God who parts the red sea, the God who made a path on a raging sea, the God who made walls, crumble, the God who gave Samson nothing more than this job, bone of a donkey to battle a thousand men.
(12:47): And when guys, this is your God, and he's about to show up and do something brand new for you. It's coming, stay, present and awake. Be willing to try again. Don't argue. Don't rationalize. Don't say it won't work because with God, all things are possible. Your breakthrough is building your doors that you've been praying for are opening. It's coming. I want you to think about these questions to reflect on this week. Will you use this day to get better than you were yesterday? Do you have the courage to set new goals this week and better yet? Will you show up to conquer them? Will you try again? What is the Lord sharing with you? That seems crazy and a bit off and a bit ridiculous that hasn't been done before. And do you believe, do you believe your doors opening? Do you believe in miracles, heads up my book set free, right?
