What a day.
Eight hours locked in a room working on my business.
It’s my third year of Strategic Coach.
If you’re not familiar with “Coach”, the whole point of the program is to create a self managing company.
Anyways,
I noticed the conversations were very different than the first two years.
Seems like everyone is extremely focused on adding talent to their team.
And it makes sense.
If you want a company that runs itself,
You have to hire great talent to fill in the gaps.
This is one of the areas where I see so many people fail miserably.
They fall into the entrepreneur trap where they try and do it all themselves.
They think they need to know how to do everything in their business.
And they end up working too hard on things they shouldn’t be involved in.
Then they wonder why thy’re burnt out, frustrated, and hating their business.
This is one of the reasons I love to work with people who have tried to do their own podcast.
They buy a course, jump in, and before they know it they’re doing all the behind the scenes grunt work that sucks the fun out of doing a show.
They end up hating podcasting.
They quit.
And they never reap the rewards of having a show.
When they come to me and see how easy we make it, they scratch their head wondering why they bothered trying to do it themselves.
Podcasting doesn’t have to be a lot of work.
All you have to do is hire the right team and it’ll be piece of cake.
