Abbey is an aspiring copywriter who has grown a successful copywriting business and is now at the point of firing other writers for support. She recently went through an interview process whilst searching for writers to hire.
Through interviewing many writers, Abbey realised some critical mistakes people were making when being interviewed. The 11 reasons Abbey talks about over the next two episodes are why many writers blow their chances of getting the gig almost in an instant.
In the first part, Abbey reveals why it’s so important that you’re on time and punctual for an initial interview or Skype meeting (Reason Five). It’s so important to show up on time. If somebody shows up as little as 4 minutes late for an interview with Abbey, that’s a huge red flag and can sy a lot about your personality.
Dan Kennedy once said that your ability to be on time is the number one success indicator in a business relationship. If you’re running late, you’re out of the running for business.
