I got this email from a subscriber over the weekend..

“Hey bud – I'm getting a lot of your emails twice, the second coming 2 days later with a “FWD:” appended to the front of it. I know you changed tools recently, so might be a ghost in the system!”

He's right, I've been emailing him twice – here's why:

Last week I did the unthinkable.

I went through my database and deleted anyone who hadn't opened one of my emails in the last 60 days.

The way I figure it, if I'm emailing 7 days per week and you haven't opened an email in the last 60 days then you've missed a ton of fun and…

You're probably not an ideal fit for what I have to offer.

I ended up deleting nearly half my list (43% to be exact)

Congratulations to you on making the cut.

But I decided that I was going to double down on my daily email efforts by using a cool feature in the new system I'm using.

The “ghost in the machine” is actually a little check box I hit when I'm scheduling my broadcasts that says “Send this email again to people who don't open.”

Heck yes I'm gonna send it again if you haven't opened – especially if all I have to do is click one box to make it happen. (I used to have to do that manually in my old system)

Anyways, if you're receiving my emails twice it's because you're not opening my emails fast enough. The ghost is set to resend my emails if you haven't opened within 2 days of being sent.

My words are sacred and I'd hate for you to miss them so I'm doing everything I can to give you a good example of what it means to be a diehard entrepreneur who believes in what you're doing.

You're welcome.
