Think you can’t sell your OOAK designs to retail stores ?

That making one off pieces is only good for in person events or online sales?

Think again!

In this ever changing economy, store owners have changed their tune and more than ever want One of a Kind jewelry for their stores.

Carrying something specific gives the retailer exclusivity and a compelling reason for people to shop at their store.

Great news for you!

When stores carry uniquely designed pieces…they need to keep their repeat customers happy by always offering something new.

So how can you get your OOAK pieces into these stores?

Our wholesale guru, Robin Kramer, is on the show today to give you the answer!

It’s always fun when we get to hang out, because we live on opposite sides of the country!

She’s sharing a wealth of knowledge, so get ready to learn some cool ways to sell more of your designs!

Photography

You need to get your pieces in front of the buyers somehow! Putting in a little extra work to have fantastic photos of every piece you design is essential.

You want to accurately represent your brand. White backgrounds are great because they make your designs stand out. Include detailed line sheets for buyers as well.

Do Your Research

Not all stores are looking for OOAK designs. Make sure you understand what type of jewelry they already sell so you can complement their current selection.

Spend your time pursuing accounts that are actively looking for OOAK, because they are out there! OOAK has become more and more important to customers.

Refine your Story

The why behind your brand is so important in OOAK. Facts tell, stories sell! Having your story nailed down helps you sell to the store, but also helps the store sell to the end customer!

The stronger the story, the stronger the connection you can have with clients. Go deeper than just where you learned to make jewelry, really get personal with why you do this for a living.

Tracy Matthews

My passion for design started as a child. I dreamed of creating wedding gowns and growing up, was always an artist in some respect. When I took my first jewelry fabrication class as a college elective, the seed was planted. My instructor became my mentor.

The rest is history. I started my first jewelry business as a hobby, designing for bridal parties, friends and families.

In my twenties, I quit my day job to follow my dream full time. That big leap resulted in my first legitimate brand, Tracy Matthews Designs, Inc.
