Without headaches or hassles

I've been taking this cartooning course by my friend Sean D'Souza.

In week 1 we didn't even pick up a pencil.

In week 2 we drew circles the whole time.

Some of my fellow classmates were getting restless wondering when we were going to start drawing.

But Sean told us to trust the process.

First you have to get started, then you have to learn the basics, then you start adding more and more layers of learning.

He said,  “These tiny steps will eventually multiply your results so you are making giant leaps of progress.”

You know what? He was right.

We're in the 7th week and check out this Tasmanian Devil I drew yesterday

This character started as lines and circles – the basics.

It reminds me of the people who want to jump into podcasting and they invest all their dough into the most expensive studio equipment, they spend hours and weeks learning how to edit, mix, and master their show. They focus all their time and energy getting the right music, voiceover, and album cover.

But they don't know the basics.

They don't know how their podcast is going to help their business.

They don't know how they're gonna make dough.

They only know podcasting is hot right now and they want to jump in.

That's why I talk so many people out of podcasting.

They haven't done the ground work.. they don't know how to draw the circles and lines that will get them the results they're looking for.

So check this out…

There are three major areas you need to cover in order for a podcast to work for you.

Before you record one word, before you pick your album cover, before you worry about getting your show in iTunes you have to take care of these three areas of your business to make a podcast work for you.

From the three topics below click on the one you most need to work on right now and I'll show you what to do next to get it done.

Remember, only pick one.

Authority: You need to be a thought leader in your market so you can build trust and credibility.

List Building: You must have an eMail list if you want to stay top of mind with your audience and followers.

Products: You gotta have products if you want to make sales over and over again without trading your time for dough.

Remember, pick the one that you need most right now in your business and I will give you some tips on how to make it happen.

I'll be back with you tomorrow.
